Hi guys. Yes, I'm unofficially back. About half a week ago I got a brand new gaming computer and today I installed Halo. When I join a multiplayer server for some reason the text doesn't appear in the writing message bar nor in the received text section.

Could someone help me? I have this approx. 19" monitor on 1024x768 resolution, Halo is on 1024x768, refresh rate is 85 hz.

Rightclick Halo Custom Edition , and go to find target.
Once you're there , open the file Redist , and doubleclick msxmlenu.
It'll install an update , and once you're done , try playing HCE.
This error seems to happen when you install HCE since a while back.

done that just now, and still the same result.
no text in both recieve and typing boxes.
i have run it as administrator, asked it to "repair my installation", as well as reinstalled it, to no avail.

sorry if i sound like i am thread-jacking, but i hope that by solving my problem the other guy can learn from it too.
