Some of the stuff is possible, but things like medals would require some severe modifications to the engine that the stock tools in the Editing Kit would not allow, and would probably require reverse engineering which isn't exactly legal.

Also, if I may throw my opinion out here, Halo 3 stuff's overdone, especially magnums, assault rifles and battle rifles. The game's not anything fantastic really, it's Halo 2 with better graphics and some slight tweaks to the gameplay, a few new guns most people never pick up, and much, much weaker weapons. If you can join a game where everybody's not trying to be beast and hit level 50, you've accomplished something nobody ever has.

Though I would admit, seeing some of the vehicles would at least be a relief from all the mock weapons I've seen all over the place.

E: Oh, and from what I understand scripting won't allow for things like medals and new kill announcements.

The things on your list that are possible , but perhaps buggy are the Shades , Versions of vehicles , Chopper , Prowler , Elephant , Oddball , Turrets.
Other than that , they're impossible to produce.
Besides , you already have Double Kills , Triple Kills , Killtaculars , Killing Sprees , Running Riots and Dominating (Not sure if the last one is in Halo 1).
Those are Halo 1 's "medals".

Well honestly, I would not in a suggest you expect a Halo 3 experience in Halo CE. I'll list off a few reasons:

1. Inferior engine. Halo 1's engine is overall horrible for trying to implement anything other than what it's originally capable of. There are things that are in Halo 3 that will never be successfully ported into Halo CE, including but not limited to: Ragdoll physics, material capabilities, crosshair position and projectile origin, high-poly support for medium-end computers, dual wielding, and equipment. Well, equipment is possible if you're a skilled scripter, and as far as I know there aren't many. This limits the graphical capabilities, as well as various gameplay elements of Halo 3.

2. Hit detection. Halo 3 implements what I like to call a "zero ping" hit detection system, where it attempts to compensate for any lag between the host and the client. What this means is if you aim and shoot at somebody, chances are your shot will register (Well, most of the time). Halo CE suffers from a very laggy Client-Server hit detection system, requiring the player to lead his shots based on ping, which is not even remotely similar to Halo 3's hit detection system. This completely destroys the feeling of the game. Emulating Halo 3's hit detection on Halo CE is, to be brutally honest, not going to happen.

Something I've done is made tags that emulate the function/kickback/firing rate/damage of the Halo 3 weapons, just to see how it played online. From that I've learned Halo 3's weapons are much, much weaker than Halo 1's, resulting in long, drawn-out fights lasting up to 30-45 seconds that would normally end in seconds in 5 to 10 seconds in Halo 3.

And unfortunately, there's no way to alter the code of the game to improve the hit detection or graphics. It's not a scripting-based game like any of the Source or Unreal games, therefor modders are extremely limited in what they can do. What they CAN do is limit variables such as firing rate, damage, clip size, battery decay, and import things such as sounds and models. Even doing something as simple as adding strafe controls to a banshee is impossible.

Halo CE's engine is not fit to make an accurate clone of Halo 3. The only hope would be a half-decent mod on the Unreal Engine or Source that's capable of implementing such things as auto-aim, dual wielding, equipment, etc.

I'm working with the Unreal Engine at this point, and am trying to learn programming with Unreal Script. I'm working on a Halo to UT3 Total Conversion. A person on the forums over there is helping me, and if something comes out of it, I may try to tackle a Halo 3 mod afterwards. No promises, but at this point in time it seems like something I'd like to shoot for.

On the other hand, there is a possibility that people can import models of Halo 3 stuff, and make it act vaguely similar. Get it functioning properly and looking like it does in Halo 3 however, would be impossible.

See,now,nothing has already been done if it's not skinned,tagged and in CE where you can see a spartan using it and or shooting at it.So don't give pics of unfinished crap and say it's done.

It's like saying a new medication is ready because you have the bottle,even though you don't have the medicine.

youve got to understand that halo 1's engine isnt limitless. you cannot recreate the halo 3 experience in it.

Most of this stuff can't be done, due to the enginge, as it has already been stated...

If you want to see this stuff, maybe add someone on xfire, and well ask them if they could help you, or make a request thread.
