Hey,
I was wondering if anyone would do an AI map for some of the DMT maps, as well as ambush. I do not have the connection to play online.. and those maps would be incredible if AI were placed in them.
Thanks,
Mal

Just run the DMT maps using map_name. That enters the map into bot mode.

What about ambush though? It would be fun to have AIs fight in the helicopter as well as the Humvee's and rebel trucks in the city.

That's quite unfortunate... what about the RPG Beta 5? The maps creator recently made an unprotected version, if I am not mistaken..

I don't have the internet connection to play online games so i am a lone wolf in the game, which is why I want AI maps. They did extinction as an AI map and it worked really well, and that was a big map. RPG-B4 was made into an AI map as well. It can be done, but I would assume some objects would need to be taken out so that it does not slowdown the game.

Search under "Mysterion" for several large AI maps such as NoWayOut, Coldsnapwar, Desert_Floodwar. I am currently working on a mod for Hugeass.

Quote: --- Original message by: DDT_Ghost well it needs some small fixes but i won't upload it since i am not one of those LOL I MODDED BLOODGULCH guys i shall use a technique that i learnt from my history teacher many years back from now to "guess" the map that DDT_Ghost had made. statement: DDT_Ghost has made an AI bloodgulch map. evidence: the quote in the post. elaboration: by saying that he is not a person who is a "LOL I MODDED BLOODGULCH" person, DDT_Ghost is implying that he has made a bloodgulch AI map, as he used the map bloodgulch as an example, instead of sidewinder, dangercanyon, hangemhigh or any other map that exists in the world as of October 2009 6:15 am. From my contextual knowledge, bloodgulch maps are common and typically shown-off and uploaded by n00bs who have just about no knowledge at map-making, as such we can conclude that DDT_Ghost is a lousy map-maker as he makes bloodgulch mods and tells it to everyone reading this topic. ok that was just a joke, no offence to DDT_Ghost or any other map-maker out there. lol

umm it actually takes place on chill out, a map with a higher strategic value due to the higher count of interesting scenery and a good layout. by stating me as a "noob" you show off your immatureness and addcition due to the fact that people who don't spend their life on pc's would rather not know this expression. after a search for your name in the hce-maps section, we can be sure that you have never made a sucessful, not even an unsucessful map.
This brings the question "what does this guy spend his time on?" to life.
after re-reading your post we could also tell the answer to this question:
Acting like a professtional carismatic storyteller who apparently fails.
Thanks for your advice.
jking ;)
keep the grammar mistakes to yourself, i have been born in austria which leads me to the fact that my english (i'm 14) is not perfect, thanks
by the way i am making custom stuff :/ uhh and yes, i rip, lol Edited by DDT_Ghost on Oct 8, 2009 at 10:52 AM ok lol. was just joking there, maybe i was too harsh, sorry. anyway, is anyone gonna do this request? Edited by sargejohnson on Oct 9, 2009 at 08:00 AM

@ h4x0r: 3G is not compatible in Goulais. Satellite costs $250 to start and its about $100 a month. Its expensive, unfortunately.

most likely, you can, on the condition that the maps aren't protected and that you wouldn't mind some lag (if you compile it as a MP map, that is. For SP....maybe such a problem exists, but since i have never set any map i made so far to be SP, i wouldn't know).
also, the map-makers may have tagspace problems due to both the size of the map and the AI required for such huge maps.

I have used Toolpro to help overcome some tag size issues as with coldsnapwar, as well as some other maps, that would never compile using standard Tool. I should note that Toolstar never seemed to work, and has since been disabled its creator EP3O after some nasty exchanges with someone here at the forum.

It hardly takes any time. It depends whether you want the AI to appear intelligent, and responsive. That takes much longer, not to mention the distasteful command lists that 3/4 of all AI map makers absolutely must add in. I say "distasteful", because it robs the AI of the ability to appear intelligent and responsive, but merely act as slaves, forced to follow subroutines that the AI map maker adds in. There are other ways around it, but of course, no one wants to use it, because they're happy with their command lists.

@ Mysterion: So I take it that it doesn't really take you a lot of time to make an AI map? ..If you had the time, like any spare time... could you possibly create an AI map of vertimad or rpg beta 5? I mean whenever you do have time. I understand if you don't want to.
@ Corrupted Halo: Thanks for the link!

Many things can improve AI intelligence, but, as Gamma said, too many people focus all their attention on Command lists. Move positions, firing positions, scripts, and various other things can all add to the AI intelligence, thus creating a better experience for the player.

@ Mysterion: OpsY made an "open" version of the map. It is called "RPG Open 5." I was reading his description of it and I believe that it is unprotected, but I could be wrong because in his description he went all technical and stuff so I got pretty confused, pretty fast. (Lol). As for RPG Beta 6, he has yet to release an unprotected version as far as I am aware of. I will search through the forums later on in the morning just to make sure. What do you mean about ideas on themes? Like where to put the AI's and how would the gameplay be like? Lol
If thats what you mean, There should be AI's in certain main areas of the map, such as the city, the base, some campsite's, the frigate, the campsite on the mountain, and in the mountain (where the map-room construct thing is). In the city, there could be humans (possibly insurgents [rebels]). The base could be insurgent-controlled as well. The campsites could be UNSC (allies). The frigate could be home to Spartans. And in the mountain, there could be sentinels (possible protecting something [[/a secret weapon perhaps??]. Is it possible to have team play (where you can join either side -- like in extinction AI, when you first spawn, you were either allies with the covenant or the humans). With that it could be UNSC versus Insurgents (kind of like the map: island defense). I cannot really see the covenant or the flood being in this map. It doesn't really fit into the map unless you added certain scenery that was covenant-ish... or flood-ish.. Edited by Mal027 on Oct 11, 2009 at 01:13 AM
