Can't, because for every BSP switch, the AI freeze. You could do it, like in a30, if you got them inside a vehicle the whole time through.

This is the truth.

Yay for supercomplicated scripts?

If I am not mistaken... in the b40 level (Assault on the Control Room) there is a BSP switch and the marines (if you have any) keep following you, as long as they are in the area that both BSPs share in the level. I will help you with the script if you need it.

Bungie did something with AI migration, I think. At the very least, to keep the AI from freezing, load them into a vehicle, teleport the vehicle to the next BSP, then unload the vehicle, and destroy it.

I am not sure, but I do notice that if I get to far ahead of the marines in a warthog they freeze. Only when they are in a cross-over section do they keep following me.

Yeah but at the a30 level if you take them out of the vehicle they stop following you an just stand there. It has to be a way to make them follow you I mean they did it on assult on the control room.

About what Me2 said script.

The only scripting commands pertaining to AI migration, is... ai_migration. You can make them follow the player, but they'll stop once you get to a new BSP. That's why in a50, there's an encounter for outside the ship, one for the first part of the ship, and when you get to the command room, they're like "HURF DURF, I THINK WE'LL STAND HERE AND WAIT FOR YOU".

Yea. That's how Bungie used the "same" marines for a50. They deleted them after every BSP switch, and spawned new ones.

You can make them follow you into another BSP.

Use a script to migrate them into an encounter that is in the BSP that you are trying to go to - then teleport them to that encounter's starting points and give them the command to follow you.
