While making my first map, I did a lot of trial and error, and that means a lot of compiling. I must have compilled and deleted my Bloodgulch varient a hundread times, and 5 to 10 times a day. My worry is because my computer seems to be slowing down a little, and it's taking a long time to start up Halo Custom Edition. You think it's due to making too many maps and then deleting them after testing them? I mean, I have been emptying my recycle bin and defraging.

You don't have to delete the old variant when compiling. Once you compile, it'll automatically replace the current version of the map.

O_o I was freaked out that some major computer exploding error would happen if made two maps by the same name. I'm a little paranoid when I do new things, I've had to reformat my computer one too many times. But Thanks! Edited by Redemption on Aug 13, 2009 at 09:14 PM

Halo CE will start to be slow when you get a lot of maps in your map folder. But if you keep overwriting the same map nothing will happen
