Hi there. I was making a new reticle for the ma5k, then i did all the steps mentioned in this tutorial: http://ghost.halomaps.org/tutorials/tuts/Mithos_reticles.pdfAll went well until tried to compile my reticle in tool, and it just says: "### ma5k_reticle.tif skipping bitmap with non-power of two dimensions " and thats just about all. Then when i try to find the .bitmap file, it isn't anywhere (not even in the reticles folder that i put the .tiff file in). the last paragraph of debug.txt says nothing out of the ordinary as well. can someone help me?

Basically, make sure your bitmaps are in powers of 2.
Basically make sure they can be 2^x where x is any number. Or, if you're a math genius, x is an exponent of two, so keep multiplying 2 times itself for as many x's there are.
Get it? I confused myself.

well, i get it, thanks. this time, tool compiles successfully, saying that: "###ma5k_reticle.tif bitmap created, #128x#128, compressed with color key transparency, 10K-bytes"
however, i still can't find the bitmap file. i set tool to run as administrator too, so it should have produced the bitmap file at the reticles folder.
any ideas?

where did you save your reticle before you compiled it? for example if you saved it in data/reticle, it would appear it tags/reticle, it always makes a new folder in tags for it, if you saved it anywhere besides the data folder, it is probably not going to end up in the right place, if all else fails just click your start menu and use search

It'll appear in the reciprocal of the data folder.
If you put it into data\cmt\weapons\human\ma5k\bitmaps, it'll appear in tags\cmt\weapons\human\ma5k\bitmaps.

????? There needs to be a blue border around your sprite.

You don't have to make reticles sprites. Make it a power of two bitmap, no blue border or anything, then compile it. When you change the bitmap in the weapon hud interface tag, under the crosshair overlay section, check the flag "not a sprite".
