You have a version of Halo lower than the server your trying to join. Update to 1.08.

Client is newer than the server. That means that you have 1.08, and are trying to connect to someone who DOESN'T have 1.08.

That server you are trying to join is either 1.07, 1.06, 1.04 or 1.00. Meaning that the person who owns the server is most likely using version changer.

Your friend probably doesn't legally own the game and is probably playing on a 1.00 server.
or He could be using version changer. |
