okay everybody, i have another map ALMOST complete, but as usual there are some last-minute difficulties...

I have everything done and in sapien, but i accidentally closed the properties palette and cant see it anymore. I have already tried going to view and shutting it off and then back on, didnt work.

ALSO, i already reset sapien and it isnt there, still.

restarted my cpu, still not there.

PLEASE help me retrieve my properties palette...

i think hguru made a "sapien windows fix" tut, search the site for it.

well, i cant figure out the best way to find it in the site search... i searched for sapien windows fix and didnt find it.
i googled that too and all i found was this:

I believe e3p0 made an app that resets Sapien's windows. Dunno where the link to that is now.

yea i cant find the thing either

i cant find a fix for this. my friends computer worked with just resetting it...
he closed it and just flipped the view settings real quick and it showed right back up...

please, any help is greatly appreciated...


EDIT: by the way, i searched for the halo guru one, couldnt find it...
cant find the one from e3p0 either...
do you guys know what i could start a search with?

Well, there is one way, but you shouldn't try it unless you know what you're doing, because I sure don't. A few months ago, this guy asked me the same question, and kept bugging me over and over. My patience hit a limit, and I told him to go to his registry, and delete everything that had to do with HEK. He did it, and according to him, it worked. Not that I'm recommending it, but that's the only other alternative that I know of.

well i posted a link to a site that HAD an automatic registry fix for this, but it is no longer hosted there... ummm, maybe if i reinstall the hek?

also, not to get off topic, but would skipping the step of making a shader environment for my textures turn them into a solid white color in the map?

yes. you have to make the shaders. you cant skip it, because it comes up in tool if you try, and it doesnt let you past.

i dont know what happened exactly then, because tool had ZERO errors, and i actually got to finish that map. only one texture showed up, the other two converted to solid white...

did you name the materials in the material editor in max/gmax?

yes. i had them named...

On the original question: Such a simple answer. Just go to the view tab, the uncheck, then recheck, property view.

Haha, ya, I misread the post. Sorry about that. It must be hidden behind another window. You could also just reinstall the HEK.

Minimize/Move all of the other windows around to see if it is hiding behind any of them.

Only the original tags would be re-written. No custom tags will be touched.

ok, well i found out how to increase my resolution to ones that my monitor cant normally have and i increased it to the max. i maximized sapien and it was in the farthest corner from the start button. thanks. the second question is still left un-answered though...
