How do you model a space map? I mean like sciophobia or pillar of autumn space. Do you need multiple meshes?

same way as a normal map, you just put the skybox around the thing in space

Model it all interior like and not exterior like. Put +sky material on all the windows, unless you want to go outside, make a box around the map and flip it and give it +sky material.

Is there a large space map with zero gravity? If not, someone should model one the size of hugeass or coldsnap, and add jet packs such as in Hydrolysis. Battle would be between two large cruisers with vehicles entering battle from launchbays.
