For some reason I never got it to work with 1.08. I have tried it on 1.07. But when I try to turn it on using 1.08, it exceptions. So as of right now, don't even bother.

i thought bloom was a the lighting that the newer games are using. Like COD, Halo, Gears etc.

Indeed.

Yes, Bloom is a lighting, and it gives a glow to objects.

I'm pretty sure Bloom effects are mostly obsolete. Everything today is HDR.
