i'm no modder nor can i even create a simple map so i have a question/request for you is it possible to use the flashlight key to make customizations to your weapons

Like lets say you are ingame and you are holding an smg you press q and it plays an animation where you put a sound suppressor on your gun or in the case of a br you flip a switch and it turns to single shot mode

reply to me and tell me if this is possible

the reason i thought of this was because of the night vision function of the sniper and rainbow six vegas

I don't think there are any first person scripting commands. I could have you switch to a different weapon that you don't already have, so flashlight would change it to one with a silencer, but there won't be any addition animations. Unless the ready animation for the silenced weapon is the switching animation?

well i dont know how to do anything in ce but i was just wondering if it was possible it would be great though if someone figured it out and put it in a map for me

well, i recall playing this kick-ass campaign map, where if you press the flashlight button, everything goes to slow motion, which is pretty helpful in tight situations...

The Silent Photographer? They just set it to game_speed 0.5, and had a screen distortion effect.

Anyways, the adding a silencer is totally possible. Just make it so if you're holding a SMG and you press Q then you're given another version of the SMG with the silencer modelled on and the ready animation would be adding the silencer. Except then, every time you switch weapons you'd have to put the silencer back on when you switched to the silenced SMG.
