Hey everyone. When I set gamma settings higher, it saves and my game is brighter. The problem however is that when i'm recording with fraps, the gameplay itself is brighter, but the recorded video is still really dark, as if I didn't change the gamma settings. I get full speed though, so that's good.
Thanks

fraps 2.9.8. Good stuff. Do you think that using virtualdub's brighten feature would give me the same effect as setting it in game? Edited by boogerlad on Jul 1, 2009 at 02:43 PM

Thanks Fraps does not have a way to reset the brightness from the original render. Most of the DX9/DX10 screen capture programs capture the video before it is rendered to the screen and before video brightness controls take effect. Fraps does not have a brightness control so you would have to brighten it in your editing software. GameCam however does have a brighteness setting and you can lighten or darken the captured video on the fly. Edited by Dennis on Jul 1, 2009 at 04:48 PM

You could also use Vegas to edit your video and still record with fraps. In Vegas there's way to bright your video, and there's ways you can just do it by pressing a few buttons.

I highly doubt this person has the money to fork out for Sony Vegas. (If that was what you were referring to.)
