ok, I've asked this for awhile now, but, can a player achieve idle animations? If so, how would one go about it?

Idle? that's the anim that's always playing when you're doing nothing

that posing anim, whatever one wants to call it, is triggered after X seconds, where you insert how many seconds it should wait before it plays that animation

After seeing a few of his posts, I think he's asking how to "put your gun down" ingame. You can't unless a new animation set is used. The pics you've probably been seeing of spartans with their guns down isn't the original animation set, it was made by Spartan-094 (I think.)

there are alot of lowering weapon anims

halo come standard for spartan anims only pistols and unarmed,

marines got both, plus rifle support

and yes, spartan modified the regular spartan stance and lowered the weapon, wich come out nice imo, but it's all just personal taste.

thing is, those anim are usually triggered by using Q if you're decent
spartan 094 just replaced the idle anim though, and replaced it with a lowering weapon anim
