so you started a thread for people to show off their games and what weapons they used, while you dwarf out any legitimate gameplay with your stories from coldsnap?

each of your logs has something about exceptioning. that should tell you something

that coldsnap is an unstable map lol

I personally prefer huegass.

I personally prefer the standard Halo maps. The never get old and have great gameplay value.

Main Weapon = Pistol
Secondary = Shotgun or Rocket Launcher(vehicle)
as clearly seen, I had 200 kills, 256 a while later, but I exceptioned for no reason before I could screenshot it. Deaths = 100s.

Last game I played I got 26 kills, 5 deaths. It was team slayer, bloodgulch, sniper and pistol. Oh and 0 assists. I did really good for some reason (I usually have about a 1/1KD ratio).

And in snow grove, i got 29 kills and 8 deaths+5 assists and i used BR,Shotty,Ma5C,and sniper.

Normal for me is getting like 70 kills and like 12 deaths. Last night, I was playing in botfree and had a 5:1 ratio when I got bored and quit.

No matter how annoying or cheap those things might seem to you, they're a legitimate part of the game and they're in there for a reason. It's your fault if you cannot beat the campers and 'noob' weapons. Each weapon and tactic has its disadvantages and you should know how to exploit them instead of complaining about them.

By the way, I'm not accusing you personally of anything. I'm just saying this in general to players who complain about 'noob' weapons and 'noob' tactics.

The whole idea of 'noob' weapons and 'noob' tactics come from players that don't want to deal with these weapons and tactics because they don't know how to beat them. Rather than learn how to beat the weapons and tactics and become better players, these players restrict themselves to certain 'skill' weapons and tactics and develop 'fair' rules that rule out anything that is 'cheap', and then accuse anyone breaking these 'fair' rules of being a 'noob'.

These are the kind of players that run right up to a guy with a rocket launcher while holding a pistol and then complain and call him a 'noob rocket whore' when he effortlessly owns them at close range.

These are the kind of players that run right out of their base into the open with just a sniper and a pistol and complain and call out 'hog noob' to the hog that effortlessly gunned them down.

Now I'm in no way saying that ALL players that like to call out 'noob' don't know how to defeat these tactics. My point is that if you DO know how to defeat these tactics, then why complain about them? Just take him down like any other player. If you DON'T, then that's your fault. Learn to accept defeat.

This is why the definition of a 'pro Halo player' is horribly skewed. The popular definition whether you know it or not is 'a player who uses only skill weapons and is amazing at using them and does not camp or use any other cheap tactic'. So wrong.

A real 'pro' knows how to beat any weapon or tactic the enemy throws at him, and a real 'pro' does not hesitate to use these same weapons and tactics to win the game, no matter how 'cheap' people think they are.

Though you must realize two things:

1) That half sarcasm, half rant.
2) You gotta admit campers are plain annoying. srsly.

Also, I don't see how campers are any worse than any other threat in the game. Getting shot by a sniper miles away is annoying. Getting run over repeatedly is annoying. Getting owned in any way by someone who has an advantage is annoying. What's so special about campers?

I don't complain about them. I find a way to kill them. Not only that, I sometimes camp if it's best for a situation, so I'd be a hypocrite if I complained.

In fact, I do all of these:

- Use rockets
- Use grenades a lot
- Use fuel rod
- Camp
- Use vehicles
- Any other heavies

But, I usually use pistols and assault rifles or shotguns, and occasionally use snipers. I use heavies when I have the chance, and I don't care about the complaints I get from players who don't understand that you can't kill a guy with a rocket launcher by getting up in his face with a pistol.

That part was the rant/sarcasm.
I don't really mind people using other weapons, but when they abuse them is when things get ugly.

How about the entire enemy team camping your base with all 5 scorpions , both banshees , all the hogs and ghosts?

This is right,when im on servers and killing with heavy weapons they call me "Pfft rocket noob",it has no sense,so if you use a pistol your a pistol noob?if you use a sniper your a sniper noob?etc.

i dont camp,ive got a tactic for killing campers,while in bloodgulch,while trying to get the flag and a player is camping,nade the entrence and hell sure to go to you (if hes a sure noob).
and hog ramming is really annoying,but i defeat it too (:

You can come up with the most horribly unfair situation. It still comes down to being your fault.

See, you and your team must have failed pretty badly to even let the enemies have so many vehicles in the first place, let alone keep them and begin camping your base.

The enemies surely didn't start off with all those vehicles, so you must have failed to stop them from stealing them from your base. Then, already at a disadvantage, you failed to at least slow down their assault on your base. The result? You all repeatedly get killed and keep respawning at your base.

With no way to win, you call out 'campers' to the people who are effectively destroying you because you think it's unfair.

Who wins? They do.
