Hi everyone, I have a question, in 3ds max, I made some random animations for Halo CE, but then in the time configuration beside Field-Of-View option, I saw that my animation was in 30 fps, but I think that would be a bit too fast for my animation so if I lower the fps, will it affect anything ingame after I put it into Halo CE?

hmm long time since i animated, can't tell you exactly, but i thought the animation had to be twice as fast in max as in halo, because in halo it runs at half the speed. you can see that when importing anims in max, to see it correctly you need to half the playspeed, but it all just depends on your own 3dsmax settings, wich i customised alot to my likings
it's been a few years, but one thing i know, is that exporting it alot and testing will yield the best results =P

I have my framerate set to "NTSC" and the the speed set to 1x. It comes out exactly like in max when I put it into halo.

So I set it in NTSC and the speed at 1x and it will be the exact same speed in halo as in max?
By the way my real question was that when I change the frames per seconds to say from original 30 fps to 20 fps, will it affect anything ingame, like not the animation frames but the fps ingame. I was wondering that if I change the fps of an animation to 20, will I get 20 fps ingame. Sorry if you do not understand, I'm bad at explaining things but good at math :/

You aren't talking about changing the frame count are you? The little bar at the bottom with the slider Sorry, just not sure what you mean. Edited by UnevenElefant5 on Jun 25, 2009 at 09:52 PM

I know what you mean, most likely it will not change in-game (I tryed it) You have to edit the speed of the animation in guerilla for that, still IDK, I use the NTSC thing too..
