well first up. you need 3d max Knowledge.

think you should search up some tutorials On Max Before you even think of Halo ce.

its quite simple.. Just like google basic button 3d max controls.

Not necessarily.

As for how to make maps, you'll need the Halo Editing Kit. This will be used to mod, tag, edit and populate levels. As for models, use Gmax.

Or, if you have Halo PC, which you should have, you can extract all those maps, and get all the tags, so you can use all the classic tags.

The tag packs may be missing a few tags. It's best not to rely on them.
