(Thanks to all who gave me assistance, I finally built a cache file)
RULES: Basically I don't want anybody posting if they don't know how to help, that's called spam. And please keep from b***** if you don't like what I have to say.
1): Basically I worked out all the problems I had getting tool.exe to work, now I just want to figure out how to remove the script from the second single player level (a30, or Halo by title) that keeps the player from moving or shooting if he/she manages to escape the intended game area. And I also want to remove the invisible roof.
2): This is the really long part of the topic. This involves the Pelican.
In Halo 1 [Halo CE/PC]: The Pelican in this Halo, or all the Halo's, is invincible. When flipped, it can be juggled for a few minutes. It would seem this Pelican is made of rubber [due to the fact that it does not produce a scraping effect when rubbing against a metal wall. The player can't drive this vehicle without modding, but he/she can enter the passenger slots in certain levels. When entering or flipping the Pelican, the message reads "press x (E in Halo PC/CE) to enter/flip Pelican.
Halo 2: This Pelican produces a scraping effect when rubbing against metal material ingame. This Pelican does not produce entry strings when a player attempts to enter the passenger bay. The roof of the passenger bay occasionally vanishes, and a certain seat takes the first person view of the weapon away. When the Pelican crashes, or the flight script goes offline, the Pelican drops, and kills nearby characters if flipped in a wrong way. The flip string reads "Press X to flip banshee". When the player flies this pelican, it can go faster than the banshee, and move a nearby dropship if properly rammed. The Pelican can boost, and it can roll on its side if the control stick is moved left or right.
EDIT: The Halo 2 Pelican continually rolls once the flight script has ended, no matter what the player does. Once it stops, it vertically stands with the nose pointing upwards.
Halo 3: This Pelican can be dropped out of the air when its pilot is killed. I do not know much else.
The point of this? I want to see what I can do in Halo CE if the Halo 2 or Halo 3 Pelican physics system, or tags are integrated into Halo CE.
Has anyone modded Halo 2 or Halo 3, and does anyone know how it works (the Pelican)?
And can the Pelican's system be integrated into Halo CE (from Halo 2 or Halo 3)?
Thanks for your help.
