Okay,So I tried to build my map in tool,and it says I have open edges..but I go into gmax and I select open edges and nothing comes up?

probably degenerate triangles. Import the .wrl using chimp, then run it and select (whatever your maps called).wrl Then in select by name, select all the chimp face errors and then it will show you where the degenerate triangles are.

Let me pull up my handy little picture :D Degenerate triangles a tri's with 3 colinear points, so somehow, your 3 verts are on the same edge like this:  E: you can fix it by target welding B to A or deleting the triangle entirely and re-creating the face.
