Yeah, there's been lots of issues like this, Sapien suddenly closing. But mine is different - it just won't load. My cursor disapears, then it stops responding. Sometimes I just have to switch programs to close it - but sometimes I have to open up task manager and manipulate it with the arrow keys to terminate the process.
Ed: My debug.txt just says the maps wouldn't load. And at the beginning I found something that sapien couldn't load toolbeta.map, guerillabeta.map, and sapienbeta.map. What's with that? 2nd Ed:To re-sumarize, I've now got the same 'Sapien closes' issue after solving my loading problem. You don't have to reinstall HEK. This is perfectly normal. Just wait it out. Alt + Tab if you want to do other things, but it will stop responding. Do NOT close it. Let it be. It'll either close itself, or open up.

It took me longer than 20 minutes to open sapien with 128 mb RAM. Just keep it open for a while.

Well I have a Pentium 4 with 512 Mb RAM and a stupid video card.
But when it already finishes loading, I've got the same issue as the other guy. |
