yeah well i have ben hostin a server at my house for a week trying to get my frends to join
and have not ben able to!

one of my frends came to my house and brought his laptop over for map testing and hes able to join now

I started this post because my frend roy cant join my server we are all useing xfire now and we are all new to it.

I told my frend roy to join my server. Me and my other frend were alredy playing a game
and when he went in to the lobby the game would not let him in so i told him to try and join on direct connect and then he looked at xfire and xfire told him my ip was 1 diget off

my ip was 192.168.2.3:2303 and he saw in xfire 192.168.2.4:2303

my very confused why is xfire saying the wrong ip and why cant my frend join?

192.168.x.x in an IP should always be a dead give away. that's your IP on the local router. your router itself has an IP adress of its own, and if your ports are forwarded, thats what people see when they play on your servers
