All the more reason to just fix it up and release. We're well beyond the point of diminishing returns. Unless we restructure and refocus the mod, any amount of polish and improvement will do little to make the maps more fun. We don't seem to have the time or motivation to finish, so let's just get what we have out there. The maps are fun as they are, anyway. They may not be polished, coherent levels, but they're long, fun, messy sandboxes that reimagine the original campaign and provide tons of new and novel encounters. They aren't quite what we wanted or what people expected, but they're lots of fun, and people can't hold it against us if we make it clear why we're releasing the mod in an unfinished state. Just do it.

Also ask Modzy on MGM about protection he'll probably whip something up for you :-) unless you feel like leaving it unprotected, like 'some' of the community i don't really mind if it's protected or not.

From my own time with CMT, I thought most tags were done. So it'd be just a matter of doing new encounters and scripting.
Sometimes I wonder how this is taking so long. If I had the resources CMT had, modeling wise, my own sp project would have been long done.
Granted, it's only one mission, not an entire campaign.
CMT don't have a blind wolf C: although if they did, it'd be far better than mine :C

REPHRASED TO BE BENINE: My computer has Badware, so I understand that sometimes random crap happens and you can't get a mod out. If something happens, then say so publicly that SPv2 is postponed till further notice. Giving eye candy and other porject info makes this case void too , so keep that in mind. Hope this helps for organization issues. ^That's how I normally post. Excuse me for the ranting and blatant sarcasm. And sorry that I don't know the details of why you delay SPV2, but coming out and saying for fact that it's paused till further notice helps kill the hatemail-like posts. Oh wait, the difference between ours is that I've actually done something within the past month and I'm only one person. Oh wait, why not just open sauce everything? Or if not even that. open sauce the scenarios and bsps so that EVERYONE can mod in a true sandbox. I agree with Arteen. You just made yourself look like a complete ass. One of the main reasons why the mod isn't finished, is because we have three bipeds that need textures. W2G BR0SEF !!

One of the main reasons why the mod isn't finished, is because we have three bipeds that need textures. W2G BR0SEF !! I'm glad. The truth is, I'm dealing with Badware on my computer. It won't die and has cut off my other computers internet, which I use for Halo stuff. On top of that, you can take that post in whatever way you want it as. Sarcastic, serious, or a plain joke, I don't honestly care. I'm honestly sick of the hype, ideas, and constant information being leaked or "released" by CMT/HCEripper because it adds drama and is basically a cut on time used elsewhere. What I mean is stop the presses about SPv2 until its finished. What does this mean? 1.) CMT needs to regroup and settle everything out of the public eye. I'm tired of seeing tags and pics of stuff that isn't released till a year later. It's like a bad song stuck in your head. 2.) Don't take anything I say as an insult. Heck, I'll put [/sarcasm] at the end of my previous post so people don't use their heads for a minute and know exactly who is saying it. If you don't know me, don't judge. If you know my posting style, same thing. My posts aren't haitmail. 3.) Sorry if I came off as an ass. I'll change the post a bit to where I'll reach the intended effect. I'm sick of seeing spam and crap in half the posts on this forum. This isn't a rant, but simply my raw feeling on this matter. Hope y'all understand.

Masters, are you committed to finishing the mod? Is anyone on the team still committed to finishing the mod? I'm willing to put in a bit more work to help make the mod playable, but I don't want to bother if the mod won't be out "until it's done". It's never going to be "done", or anything close to that, because no one wants or has the time to work on it. Next to nothing has happened in the last few months, are there's no sign that anything will happen in the future. Unless you know something I don't, or you change your mind about having an unfinished release, the project is dead. If you can come up with a short list of concrete, discrete tasks that need to be done, and agree to release after those are done, great.

Edited by UnevenElefant5 on Nov 20, 2009 at 09:38 AM Well you can get the models pretty easily on a mac with pubic tools but not some of the bitmaps. And how can you open source for example a weapon without the models, bitmaps, sounds, and animations?

Those anims are ancient. Arteen, you have my new AIM right? One of the biggest problems with progress is Duce and the BSPs, if you and him can buddy up and finish them, and kirby fixes the sparrowhawk, then we can actually start making progress. Until those two can finish up their tasks, then progress can't resume. I said that there were no current plans to release it, that doesn't mean it won't be released. Edited by Masters1337 on Nov 21, 2009 at 12:25 AM You say progress can't resume until those things are done but I assume you mean you. There is so much stuff that can be worked on even without these things. Stop pushing everything off on someone else. You need to get yourself back in and start working too because there's not much left on the bsps to do and when they are done who will you blame progress on next?

This thing should just be released, as unpolished as it is. If you never have an objective the mod will never actually get released, just be pushed forward over and over again.
