I think he says that your AI are smart because they don't run into anything.

The retarded kind that can see you from 5,000 world units away and will try to run at you, but head into a wall instead. Sometimes they'll also shoot at the wall for an added dose of retardedness.

I assume that its either a locked device_machine or a scenery object. AI can't 'see' those, as in they don't perceive them when they are making a decision. Its a different story if its a BSP wall.

A) I've seen it happen.
B) That's untrue because Elites duck behind scenery when under fire, how would they duck behind it if they didn't know it was there?

Just a suggestion, but could you create an RC2 that has custom weapons?

Maybe he should create release candidate 1 first... And I've talked with him, and he's keeping this classic. He might create a new version that has custom weapons, but after his tags folder decided to walk out on him, he lost most, if not all, his tags.

Darn.

I was making a map, and I customed-up my tags folder and effects, meaning most of my tags are now custom (including AI intelligence and weapons). I don't want to risk re-extracting the tags and losing my hard modding work. This map might possibly be no more, unless my HEK crashes again =P

Huh, so if your HEk crashes the map will be worked on?

when customizing your tag folder it is a good idea to make backup copies while you are still experimenting.

True that. Most of my original tags are stored in tags with names such as 'plasma rifle old'.
