I just started playing a whole lotta HCE at school and want to set up a server for our LAN network so we get more unintrerupted play (we gotta work at some point!) What I need to know are is it possible for a server to be created strictly for a LAN and does it need it's own comp or can I play on the one with the server on it?
I've attempted to use the EZR Clan Server Configuration and when I go to make the server list it crashes; where exactly am I supposed to put the files that come with it or is there a better tool to use?
Sorry for the noob questions but I don't have the time to watch a vid at the moment and we want to get something running a constant stream of games for us.
Any help is appreciated; Bored Animation Majors haha

You can actually just start a network lan game and people can join you in the LAN server. I don't think Dedicated servers work in LAN's anyway. Besides, if its only your network there's no need for a dedicated server. You can just start the game on one computer, and every one else join.

When we make games though it just constantly replays the same scenario, what I would like is a random game to start after each match. Is it possible yeah or neigh?

Is it possible yeah or neigh? No not possible. The server reads the init file on startup so even changing the init will not work because the server doesn't read it again until it is restarted.
