I know that in Sapien, you're capable of setting team indexes manually; 0 for blue, 1 for red. ... Or maybe vice-versa, I always get them mixed up.
However, I'm curious; is it already preset to support team indexes of 2 and 3, for players, or would that cause exceptions? And if so, what script would I use to edit the game menus (like Tiamat did for the Time of Day script) to change the switch-teams to show Yellow and Green (or whatever team index 2 and 3 would be)?
I'm just curious, because there are already so many maps that have XY-symmetric designs, and the map I'm working on would be wonderful for a 4-team game... It's themed to be a Multi-Team map [as in, the gametype on Halo 3]. But I'm not sure if that's possible or not.

You can't have a Multi-Team game type. It can only be Red vs Blue.

unless you find a way to hack the source code of the engine where you could aswell make syncing AI in the same time you cant do it.

To edit the game menus, you would need to modify the widget list for the multiplayer pause menu. But @ your idea, I'm pretty sure it isn't possible. There's always free-for-all slayer.

yea free for all would be best, and team up with some ppl to not shoot at each other, it's one of my secrethaxstrageties, and it works, if your team isn't noobs that shoot your ass off lol
but at the idea, it is possible to make more teams, but you would need to script it that way that you bump possess an AI because the AI already have more sides, the idea is nice and probably works, but i'm too short on time and not really interested of thinking it through =P
oh and, scripts and lots of workarounds that seem impossible will work, i've achieved lots of gameplay elements from other games by just thinking a tad different, so good luck Edited by BeachParty clan on Apr 6, 2009 at 10:14 AM
