Perhaps the best way to learn to texture is to actually see and analyze other people's work. Bellow is a link of the high-poly model along with the texture with unedited psd's. just so you know, i put no effort into making the normal map. http://rapidshare.com/files/215137932/data_box.rar.htmlI will soon be posting the low poly model once im done with it.

thats not very helpful; considering this is already textured. just texture the model I already gave you. also, the reason why the spec map doesn't work in this render is because i used global lighting. here's a render where I placed an omni that effects only specular. dude, seriously. dont texture this thing because its such a wast of time. I'll make another crate just for you. I'll have it done by tomorrow afternoon. (high poly). Edited by roosterMAP on Mar 29, 2009 at 11:14 PM

Yeah I know. I'm going to do the one you already gave me. Just oging to reunwrap it. Also, videos help alot more when people can follow along. Sometimes its hard to tell how something is done after looking at a psd. It shows the break up of layers and how that is done but not the actual painting.
Why not have both to look at?
yeah. I noticed that with the render. Just took me a minute of looking at it after I posted. Edited by Disaster on Mar 29, 2009 at 11:01 PM Edited by Disaster on Mar 29, 2009 at 11:01 PM
