I'm assuming you didn't run it through command prompt. If on Windows XP, open the run thing, and type in cmd.exe. Run it. If you're on Vista or Windows 7, type into the start bar cmd.exe, and open it. Type in: cd C:/Program Files/Microsoft Games/Halo Custom Edition
Then, type in: tool build-cache-file [directory of your scenario file + name of scenario]
So if you were creating a mod of putput, and you named your scenario file putputmod, then you would type in: tool build-cache-file levels\test\putput\putputmod

Look, to start up tool, did you double click tool.exe? Or did you run cmd.exe?

Go to your Windows\system32 and copy and paste the CMD into your Halo CE Root Directory. Don't delete tool, just use the CMD.

That means you ignored my post. I said NOT to double click on tool, and run cmd.exe instead. You can copy it from the system32 folder if you so wish, but if you do what I did, you don't have to. Since tool.exe is not designed for you to run it directly, you must run it through command prompt. Here's how to do it: Quote: --- Original message by: Gamma927I'm assuming you didn't run it through command prompt. If on Windows XP, open the run thing, and type in cmd.exe. Run it. So if you were creating a mod of putput, and you named your scenario file putputmod, then you would type in: tool build-cache-file levels\test\putput\putputmod
And you can mess around with System32 if you're careful.

Can't find what? cmd.exe? It's located in C:/Windows32 (if you're on a 32 bit computer. If you're on a 64 bit, I assume it's in C:/Windows64)

You don't move command prompt. You make a link to it, then change the start in folder on the link.

You typed it in wrong. Give us the debug.txt. By the way, is this a mod of another map, or your own?

You go to the store and buy one. It's not like you can download software that gives you a better video card. That's like downloading memory, it doesn't make sense.
