Could be better. Instead of just having SpecOps grunts, gamma could have added Elites and such. A wonderful map, but clearly lacking in certain areas (example: Weapons and balance). It seemed like you rushed this just to create the first map which you could spawn AI from the pause menu, right? Before anyone else did?

Yes, I know it was rushed. In fact, after I uploaded, I immediately wished it didn't finish. Why? So many things were incomplete. I forgot to add wind, AI placement sucked, etc. It isn't the best map out there, quite the contrary.

Which makes it fail because AI maps are for people who can't fight online. :|

Heres why people enjoy AI and why AI are good. 1. Helps people practice there skills on different levels than others. 2. Fun to play against. 3. You can always edit them to your skill level to practice more.

why not try and improve on the map and maybe release a v2? or maybe move on to another map but similar to this one but make it alot better, ofcoarse not something on the beta level but something more finalized

Must you make a discussion thread for every map that comes out?

I think that what makes this map so popular is the fact that you, as the player, have an option on whether to spawn the AI or not. Not spawning the AI allows you to play it with friends over MultiPlayer, while spawning AI allows you to play solo against them and train your skills.

Perhaps I could assist you in V2 a little? If there really actually is a V2?

This is a great idea. You could try to make sort of an endurance mode, after defeating the encounter, another one unlocks that is harder to complete. Each encounter should try to focus on a different tactic for killing the AI. Like one encounter is just to see if you can survive a wave of Covenant (or Flood), and then another encounter would be specifically about sneaking, and relying on your motion sensor (or not), as it would spawn invisible elites (or Flood) all around the ship. This type of map would get me addicted to Halo: CE again.

If you make another one, put it in a more open map so that the AI will actually fight each other.

I'm working with the Pillar of Autumn, because it's the first campaign map. I'm going to work my way down through all the campaign maps. That's why I preferred Beavercreek. It was the first one on the list of MP maps. Of course, I can work only if I can recover all my files. My computer died yesterday, so I did a clean installation of Windows 7 to try it out. I must admit, that it works really well.

You call Gamma927 a dumb***, yet you do not act any better either. And the way Jenkins said that, it was unclear on what he was implying: Whether his Xfire got wiped because he couldn't get to him, or because his comp crashed.

You yourself are not making your message clear. You refer to Gamma's comp with the word "his", while the correct word should be "your". It makes it seem as though you are talking to some other person, while from what I can gather you are communicating to Gamma and insulting him.

I liked the map, and being able to choose Ai was pretty neat, first map to actually do this.

I used to enjoy Ai battles, not because i sucked or because i didn't have internet, its because i got to kill something to relieve my stress, damn i had so much stress back then -_-

AI spawning from the main menu is something to play with...

Wondering: can you still limit the number of available respawns for a set of AI? Can you have more than one AI respawn choice? (E.G. respawn marines only or respawn elites only.) Can you have certain AI respawn in the closest firing positions to the player? (I'm thinking for campaigns, where you can "call for" reinforcements to help you out.)

AI on demand... I like it.

Yea, I was going to go for more options. But I decided that I wouldn't bother L283203 any longer than I had to, so I stuck with just these two buttons. I'm using what he sent me as a template for some experiences, but he's much better than I am at it, so it may take me a while.
