Use decals. Edit types, add decals. Add the blood aoe grunt. Then, place decals like an object: Right click to place them.

* facepalm *
The decal "blood aoe grunt" IS the grunt blood. It won't appear in Sapien, btw, because Sapien doesn't do decals, particles, or all that other stuff. If you don't have the file, rip it from the campaign. It should be in the folder tags\decals\

* facepalm * again. Re-read what I said. It's in the decals folder. So open up a campaign map with HEK+, go to the folder decals, and find the file called blood aoe grunt.decal, and extract it. Submitting a Filehttp://hce.halomaps.org/index.cfm?pg=60

It will appear. If it doesn't appear, then it won't appear in Halo. Are you looking in the folder: C:/Program Files/Microsoft Games/Halo Custom Edition/maps or C:/Program Files/Microsoft Games/Halo/MAPS ?

Then it should be there. It should be called weirdgulch.map. Send us a screenshot of your maps folder. Hit the prnt scrn button on your keyboard, and open MS Paint. Then, hit CTRL + V, to make the screenshot appear.

decals are found in tags\effects\decals. use the grunt smears. However, I have found that these are a little hard to see in game. I think a better way would be to script ai placement and death which would make blood, but that's more complex.

No, you don't do that. Instead, you allow yourself to view hidden files. Open Windows Explorer, hit alt, go to tools>folder options. Go to the view tab, and show hidden files and folders.
