Well I was making a map and i just finished radiosity and my textures are spread all around the map no not like a bad graphics card spread but it looks like there maybe... scaled down to much idk tho. Please help me Let me upload a pic.



Why is it all messed up :(????? please help me.

he forgot to fit the bitmap into the map with uv mapping.

How do i do it? Im confused please help me. Just tell me what i need to fix in the uvwunwrap do i need to scale it up or down or not at all ????

And i never ever made a unwrap in the first place on my map =\

Before you export it from gmax/3dsmax when you are in the process of UV mapping uh... you have to put the numbers properly uh.. ignore this

oh now i get it i forgot i don't need to unwrap i just need to go into uvw mapping and edit the surface and the coordinates xD. let me see if that fixes it, because i just tried scaling my bitmap up in 3dsmax, uvw unwrap and it just stayed the same after i exported again and ran through tool :| .

you simply use the fit buttom on uvw mapping.

Fit? uvw unwrap or uvw map i don't see it anywhere??

EDIT: i found it and did it on x,y,and z and saved and then exported and ran through tool and no luck :| i gtg to school though now so just maybe help me out a little while im gone at school please.

make sure you didn't change the 'tile' values in your material editor

Hmm where are those?

EDIT: found them but what should they be set to and what shoudl the check boxs be ?

Theres no need to unwrap a map. That's kind of hard if you think about it. But all you do is uvw map it and set it to the box mode, then you can change the dimensions. If your image is a constant ration of 512 by 512, then what ever your numbers are, they will always be that same ratio 1:1.

Oh so now thats why it hasnt been working =\ well heres the thing that was screwing me up and it was shaders pic*



What should i set it to i tried 1 and it worked but it was well.. sorta blurry and/or pix-elated and then i tried 25 like i always do so... What should i set it to?
