Gmax has many features, and even though I have been using it for a while, I have a feeling I still do not know a few modeling techniques. I would very much like to expand my knowlege. I know the basics, (like how to create polygons and stuff) But I would like to hear some techniques. For example, I like to use the "extrude" tool inwards to create caves, or outwards branches on tree trunks. To make the object look less squarey, I like to use the "tesselate" tool. Can anyone else think of more useful techniques to use with tools in gmax, to help expand my knowlege? maybe some useful texturing tools? (I'm a little underdeveloped in texturing)

I like to chamfer edges. A LOT. :P I also just recently started using Spline modelling to make smexy corridors, although I'm not sure if Splines are available in Gmax.
