Alright. Like I said before, I'm kind of new (yeah, call me a n00b if you want) so just bear with me. I've been working with HEK for the first time. I've spent hours trying to figure out how to extract the scenario tags from Blood Gulch, and I also want to know how to add tags I've downloaded to maps. Help with this would be greatly appreciated Edited by Doug on Feb 10, 2009 at 06:05 PM

I'll teach you how to extract a scenario file, but not from Blood Gulch. Of course, by following my instructions, you could eventually end up extracting Blood Gulch, but oh well....
First of all, open up the map file beavercreek.map in HEK+ Select all folders, and drag them onto the extraction list on the right. Click the yellow gear options thing, and set it to use Registry (click the button) Then uncheck "Save extracted tags list" Click Start Wait for the output on the bottom to finish ???? Profit.
Your scenario file will be in the folder tags\levels\test\beavercreek
To add tags, you go to edit types in the hierarchy view in Sapien Select the kind of tag (eg scenery) Browse to your tag Click Add Go to scenery in hierarchy view (Mission>Objects>Scenery) Select the folder Right click in game view to place the item Save, compile, and it will be in that map.
NOTE: IF THIS IS A MULTIPLAYER MAP, ADDING WEAPON TAGS WILL NOT HELP. YOU MUST ADD THEM AS NETGAME EQUIPMENT.

Thank you. A lot of the stuff I've read has been confusing, but that really helped.
