This is the official Mission: Rio topic. In case you are inaware of what MR is, it is a SP mod made by changing the Outpost Rio map.

It is currently made by using Halo 2 bipeds, a variety of AI controlled vehicles, and more SP elements to make it unique.

UNIT LIST:

SPECIAL UNITS
Prophet: Political and religious Covenant leaders. They are physically frail, and rely on technology and troops to defend themselves.
Orbital Drop Shock Trooper (ODST): An Elite squad of Marines outfitted with better armor, better weapons, and a better Heads Up Display.

Scarab - You should know what this is, and you can't defeat it - not by yourself anyway.
Spectre - Standard Elite transport unit. 1 Driver, 1 Gunner, 2 Passengers.
Ghost - Standard light recon vehicle.
Wraith - Heavy Covenant Artillery vehicle.
AA Wraith - Wraith modified for AA purposes - uses a dual Flak Cannon launcher to blast ships out of the sky.
Gun Tower - Massive anti-air defense tower.
Banshee - Standard Covenant air attack vehicle.


UNSC

Longsword Bomber - Jet outfitted with a 25lb Megaton Bomb.
Attack Pelican - Pelican ship modified with guns.
M251 AH "Mule" - Attack helicopter. Useful against 'Shees.
Warthog - Light recon vehicle.

How did someone upload a fake version...was it given to someone for testing?

It's not the official thing, it is just a mod of Infinity named Mission Rio with the name as mp2sp darkzealot. Most likely the same person that spammed Modacity under Gamma's name.

Yes. Mythril has a video on Xfire. I don't think we'll be releasing it, though, unless Mythril says otherwise.

No. We had NOTHING to do with that fake map. We did not even design it (shade turrets are sooooo un-awesome).

Yay! Dennis has updated! Its no longer ours anymore! The author is no longer us! In your face evil persion who created it! (that came out sounding awkward.....)

Talked to DarkZealot. He's already done the custom dialogue for Elites (in the Elite language). Subtitles in English will be provided. :P

Prophet will be called the Prophet of Hope (irony! Hey, have you noticed all the prophet names are kind of ironic? Truth=Did not know the Truth about the rings. Mercy=was shown no Mercy. Tolerance=could not tolerate prophet of Restraint)

Scarab part is also done.

Yes, hence why the Mausoleum is filled with bodies of the past Arbiters. Being an Arbiter was usually something given to a Sangheili after being disgraced, and was seen as one last way to gain honour before dieing.

I'm not adding the Prophet if I can't get a good voice in. Soo, any takers?

Not me, because I have no clue how to even make my voice sound remotely close to a prophet.

Oh and, I have Friday (the 13th) off, so I can rebegin working on it again, since working on things like this on a school night = no. I also have Monday off of next week. However, a release for the public is too early, but MP2SPMT members should see it by either Friday or Saturday with pictures and videos.

I'm glad the map was fake. Otherwise, DZ, I'd have to scold you on how to put in AI. :P

There is no prophet of hope...

It's called creating a non-canonical character that fits within canon.

Yes. If we used a prophet like Restraint, Obligation, Truth or Regret, it would collide with the storyline, and we don't want that.

Also, there WILL be a prophet. Otherwise, the level with have no purpose. And don't even suggest killing an elite Zealot :X

We can steal lines from H2/3.

This is a TEAM project......
