Hey i was just wondering if anyone could design a map for me... its a real simple map... a bloodgulch varient it should be easy for a good modder and since my sapien doesnt work=p
i really need someones help anyones help would be fine! =) its for a machinima im makin its a bit sketchy but its definitley gonna happen!

Yeah Bloodgulch mods are easy

I made my first Beta in 15 minutes

Before I started messing with Shaders

and Bitmaps :D

How does your sapien ''Not work''. Does it crash when openning a scenario file? If so, then it's an easy fix. Open task manager, locate the sapien.exe, right click ->Set affinity and make sure only one box is checked. click ok and voila, you can select your scenario and it'll work. this step needs to be done each time you load it however.

If you run in XP, then run Sapien in Compatability mode, use windows 98 and it works.
That solves Multi Core problems since these programs are very old.

ok the basic map idea is sort of wierd in the shaded part of the map (in the very back where the good sniper spot is) is where my idea starts... i want you to replace that whole spot with a giant stone wall thats the first part of the map... easy... but challenging... if yuod like to do it just reply and i'll give you the rest of the details =)

whenever I get more information I can squeeze the map between the projects in, by the looks of it you want something specific, not big, right? please post more detaills, I'm still working on my F.E.A.R. 2 HUD in the meanwhile

can do... heres the rest of the details... on the big stone wall... (probably where the challenging part comes in) i want you to put 3 door teleporters... one leading to a hangar (like hugeass and extinction) one leading to an armory... and one leading to a baracks...

in the hangar i want... a giant portal big enough for any vehicle to get through but does not show the portal on the other side

1 longsword
4 pelicans
4 cove dropships
10 warthogs
5 rwarthogs
5 tanks
5 lifepods
3 banshees
5 ghosts
3 wraiths
and five jets AND THATS THE HANGAR

in the armory i want...

5 of every weapon tag im going to send you

in the baracks i want...

5 of every biped im going to send you

and i want you to increase the base width and length of the map as well

thats pretty much all i want for now if i make any changes ill keep you posted ill send you the tags once youve got the first to objectives done

thats why i asked you to make the map about 3x larger and there only going to be out like one at a time more than likely... so are you gonna help me? ok think about it when you go into the portal it leads to a room not even off the map it can be 2000 miles away for all i care as long as its there

but i really need to get that hangar done... so id apreciate it if you tried?

I will give it a shot, but a seperate hanger means a different BSP, so it woulnd't be possible without making a whole new model, but then it's not a bloodgulch mod anymore as you said in the beginning, as i would have to make a new BSP.
I can't use the default one for it since it will error when i place something outside bloodgulch.

If 1 base is a hanger, and 1 base a barrack, then we need a giant wall in between right? could place a scenery wall of a brick wall

no guys you dont get what i mean here

hangar, barracks, and amory all on same side this is a map for machinima and anyone who would like to play in it (if sum1 will tell me how to play customediton online!!!@@@!!!@@) see the reason i need the hangar baracks and armory is for storage and machinima purposes only... but it would be fun as crap to fight in ;) but beachparty theres somthing i need you to do when you get the wall and the hangar and make the map a little larger ill send you the weapon tags and bipeds and when you get the whole map done DONT upload the only people i want using the map when its finished is me... and you... of course and then when i finish the machinima i will upload my copy giving you full credit in the machinima and description of the map for making the map and you can do whatever you want with your copy =) man... i type to much =p i just had to get that out of the way that once the map is done it will be a private map for a few months (you can still host matches on it) and then we will release it and hopefully it will be one of the best bloodgulch mods on this whole website =) oh and what you said about the hangar how you will have to create a whole new bsp
i told you it would be a little challenging =)

if i could put an undergorund tunnel from red base or blue base to a room underground with 3 portals.... it would kinda make it more... descreet...

nah... i like the stone wall idea better...

beach party could make the whole map and then i will let you put in secret tunnels, door ways and teleporters that would fit perfect with it!

Beachpartyclan, you should just open the bg bsp in max then add a huge skybox and then recompile. Add everything else as scenery outside the main model but within the huge skybox and you should not get errors.

I have a perfect bloodgulch.max model that Haloguru gave me ages ago if you need it add maniac1000

He would have to include secret tunnels. If he's modeling the new BSP, then he'll add the secret tunnels. He'll also have to add doorways, because he would have to drill out holes, and put rims. Teleporters are just scenery objects, and they are easy to place down. The netgame flags, aka the teleporting thing, would also be easy to do. I could help out.

good i could probably use all the help i can get with this one

that means you would get a copy of the map on terms that you dont upload it to the site the only people i want having this map are the people that work on it (i mean if someone offers you 1 billion dollars for it go ahead but i want 99.99%.....not jokin....)so ill let beachparty do what he needs to do then ill check it out and if everything looks ok you can add some adjustments yourself and if i like it ill keep it... and every1 that participates in this will get a copy and will get to make adjustments of there own so right now i need actors and... well... the designers every1 that particpates will get there name in the credits and description =)

o and maniac1000 if you want to help out ill glady let you.

Just import the bsp via extractor and get it in game. Then just use the sizing tool to make it bigger. Delete a few faces and add the hangar and armory then your finished with the bsp. Should be relatively simple. Just not simple enough for me to want to make it.

I'm at school now, but when i'm home i'll start putting the stuff in the map, and show some wips, i'll leave the original model as it is because i think it can fit in it how it is, by making a floating hanger.

Also, an idea to fit them all in the parralel universum black hole theory:

object_create_anew_containing [thevehicleyouwant]

so, i will place them all at once place in a black hole lol, and the vehicle you want just have to be spawned, as you are using it for machinima, it's easier to just spawn what you want =D
wow, problem solved without involving the BSP, i'll post screenz in a few hours, as it's just 11 am atm here.

so, if you like the idea how i will make it fit, then i'll have your map done this evening, maybe 'round 8 pm, because i have alot of stuff to do, i'll gladly do this though.

heres how you could do it.

extract bsp to gmax, put a big sky box, resize the map. (there would be probaly some textures that are off the map a bit)

for wall, make a box, give it stone texture, export to scenery tag.

for everything else, get some scenery of d40 armory, d40 hanger, and a10 cinematic hanger. (baracks) script everything in.
