I got a single player map and its Island-Assault.
It says to use dev mode and I have the thing you turn on to do the cheats and stuff
Well I turn that on and play it and it says the Gathering exeption Data.. Error

^That's your problem. DON'T use dev.

I was feeling a bit stupid there and when I tried it still got the same error andy other suggestions cause maps seem to o this alot for me.

Are you selecting the map in the LAN window? How do you start up the SP map?

I start it up.
Pick LAN
Infinite Time
Start Game
Loads....
Closes and error comes.

ok since i made the map i know what i talking about...yeah in the readme it said DONT USE DEV!?!?!? etc. and to load the map you dont go via LAN, instead you go press the tidle key (~) [no need to hold shift in halo] and type map_name island_assault it it should load. though you need the console to be enabled to load the sp screen. if it still gives exception data: well then your screwed coz i tried it on 5 different computers with bad and good graphic cards and they all worked fine. as long as you load it like a sp map...

Well how do you do that one thing in halo with the ~ because that usually refers to devmode. Do I just go to the main menu and press it then type that stuff in

no dont use dev use console...

right-click the halo stortcut icon. go to properties and in the target window after its says haloce.exe or whatever type -console and press ok. ok then when halo loads press the ~ key and type "map_name island_assault" (without the quotation marks) and it should then work.

let me explai this to you... thouroughly when he says dont use devmode... dont use devmode... right click halo ce on desktop go to properties go to target space -console space -devmode start up halo ce press the tilda key ~ and the type map_name island_assault its that simple buddy

Lol well I got it and I just double clicked dev mode. Then I opened up halo(dev mode turned off) then click multiplayer then turned on dev mode do that map_title thing and it just started me off so I did use dev mode :/ thanks for the help guys

do everything there except dont type -devmode and it should work. even if devmode is on it should work but i recommend that you dont use devmode in the map. coz that means you what i call and a dictionary calls "A CHEATER!"

Hey guys. Idea for anti cheats script. Instead of game_revert, use quit. That should make the cheater, more... unhappy.
