should i make keyes assault exterior bsp a city like one with a covie ship in the center or a halo ring one like a canyon that leads up to the ship?

That would take a lot of work (not to mention resembe Metropolis a little to much), but if its manageable, then its fine.

You mean a human city? Or a Covenant High Chrity style one?

I think and ancient fornuner city sounds nice

Oh and do you want my armored flood bipeds for your keys assault campaine.

So far i got

Elite flood: Gmax model file
ODST flood: Gmax model file
Now Im working on the standard marine flood and spartan
I looked at the marine model and i found out it has a Damaged part if the covenant shoot at him and its all gorey and stuff Bungie must have took it out before relising halo.
But if you want ill give you the models tool will not let me compile them.

tool wont compile the h2cef aswell =( but i mean as a human city like chronopolis with the cruiser at the end of the city..(the story will have nothing to do with the actual campaign or halo series...)

EDIT: im not doing the city anymore, its too hard. =( im going for a canyonish bsp with forrunner buildings and such...

If you release them to public or upload them to halomaps (The flood campaign I'm part of would be very thankfull to use them ingame =) seriously) Then we could do that for you.

Oh and ontopic,
If it looks good for machinima, I'm all for that idea, what sort of forerunner structures did you had in mind? I hope a bit of underground parts too, would be fun as the exterior isn't much variation but fun to play though, I just made one for the covenant campaign, it CAN be fun.

You're someone who plays devmode by the book eh? adding it to the command line parameter, no i don't do that, you'll see how i abuse devmode in my machinima mwhuahahahahahaha

it wont have a underground tunnel...but it has a a30 tunnel edited...it will include a warthog run at the end and because it has nothing to do with the story it will have stuff that will make no sense. (thats if your trying to think this as a map replacing d20 keyes) like in the warthog run; explosions in the tunnel..

the only request i have for this is one......i need a droppod scenery peice. because there will be ODST's in the level. not the ones from the site though... (one thing for sure is that their butt is weird =P)

EDIT: this has nothing to do with gameplay, only bsp stuff. so i wont be updating this thread with stuff about the map except for bsps.

I textured my own ODST's, (yea i got halo 2 for some time now), and they have sexy butts lol

i gota a different ODST texture and model. mines less greeny. anyways the exterior bsp is almost done.ive made the cinematic part..(the insertion) and tunnel entrance (where you start to play) and the tunnel it self (pretty big.) all thats left is the gravlift area. thinking of making it along the lines of a50's final area. (of the exterior)

=D almost done, oh and i still need to texture it.

EDIT: ive got a concept on how to make the grav lift area.. a30 area..(th a30_b bsp) edited with only the part that has the under ground tunnel. =D but i need to block it off half way so then you have to underground..

and i might need to make it into 2 levels. the "assault" and the "escape" depending on tag space..assault is where you get inside the covie cruiser and find keyes and escape is where you try to get off the cruier for extraction...i was hoping (still am) in seeing if i could get them both together.

no im saying if there isnt enough tag space ill make it into 2 maps.

Nice ODST =)
oh and sry its just on my screen it showed a more green colour than a urban camo.

EDIT: ill use tool_pro to compile though i dont know if that has unlimited tag space..only map data size.

EDIT2: i just finished the bsp..still need to texture it and export. im starting the texturing today but ill export it tommorrow. unless i get enough time to export it today whcih i higly doubt...ill release beta's to only a few people. asking wont help.

Don't use tool_pro. If you add a rock, and you can't fit it, and compile it with tool_pro, the map will exception when you encounter that rock.

And the ODST looks eww.... with bad quality camo

K ill give you the JMS.files and the Gmax files I canīt compile it though but good luck BeachParty Clan.

Oh ya Its on my other CP I canīt give it to you cause im on the internet cafe place but ill go buy a flash drive and put it on this one or just wait a month or too till I git internet at my house then ill give it to you

Just one condition once you and your map team gets the ODST, Elite, spartan mark5 and mark6, H1 marine armor and H2 marine armor Floods working, I want them back you can keep them just send me copies K oh and an if you give me an Honor Gard Ill make him a flood too. my email is

And on topic: For the map do what H3 did, make small air vehicles and make them fight in the sky like in Halo 3 just make it as a scenery file and make them do animations. And do a flood BSP too like the doors and stuff oh and do not for get to make the hunters bigger like make em 50% bigger I tried it with gmax but It said could not load geometry so try it with 3DS Max.

i having the halo 2 green fog like in high charity for the sky in the interior of the cruiser.
WIP: crashing lifepod..it hits the ground infront of the player. and goes BOOM! in a cinematic.
but doesnt have custom recorded animations. since that not possible in halo ce. and i can wait for the flood. i got the honer guard tags and will give via xfire..and im not making this a mapping team. im still deciding in the sky for the exterior...most likly night. but i need to know on how to make a part of the bsp have fog...like in c10. and i need a voice actor..well dont really need one but just in case i want custom dialog. and im not making a flood bsp..need new textures for my door though...mines to dark.. and the warthog run will be aprox the same length as the d40 warthog run. with the explosions and effects etc.

if you make the flood stuff for the bsp scenery, then it would be easier to adjust, aswell as to skin them.

part of the bsp gets fog with a fog section in a sector, assuming the bsp got sectors to put fog in.

can you tell me how to do fog? my first though was changing the bsp at the foggy part and giving it the c10 fog. still need a sky for the exterior. anyone want to make that? im exporting the bsp now...its taking FOREVER! i hope tool compiles it coz if it doesnt im going to go dograt! lolz.
