Make sure the tag is inside the tags folder. Otherwise it will give that error.

Ok. He has no problem with the bitmap. The error Can't read guerillabeta.map does not matter. The working directory thing only occurs if you try to open a scenario file that is on the desktop, or not in the tags folder. Where is your scenario file?

it is in both the tags folder and the data folder. it shouldn't matter though on my old computer (xp) it had no problems running. but on vista its not working right. and in the models folder of my map- i keep trying to save the model of my map to the folder but they only show up if i press the compatibility button. is that the problem?

Are you trying to open it from the tags folder or the data folder? It matters. Are you using Guerilla or Kornmann?

ok i fixed that error but now theres another one. heres what tools says when it fails to render light maps.

Microsoft Windows [Version 6.0.6001]
Copyright (c) 2006 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved.

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo Custom Edition>tool lightmaps levels/bastr
oyanator/bastroyanator bastroyanator 0 0.9
Couldn't read map file './toolbeta.map'
i'm going to render debug lightmaps for bastroyanator of levels/bastroyanator/ba
stroyanator, and i'll stop when red+blue+green = 0.900000.
Hit control-c now if this isn't right.
'/' is not a valid directory separator for tag files.
the scenario tag 'levels/bastroyanator/bastroyanator' was not found in the index
file.
need to get the following tags:
levels/bastroyanator/bastroyanator.scenario

done

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo Custom Edition>

the scenario file wont show up there when i compile the map. when i structure the map there is one error- it says it found z buffered triangles (red)

what does that mean? and how do i fix it.
