From looking at a few topics here and there and some news for video games I've noticed that Bungie can't refract from making Halo Games. Seeing that Halo Combat sold over a million dollars within the first few days they weren't likely to make a sequel. But with an Increasing fanbase they started working and withing a few years they made the game, known now as an abomination, Halo 2. Which after beating the game Master Chief said,"Finishing this fight." Many Halo fans got mad threw their controllers down knowing that Bungie would not make another Halo. But 3 years later they did it again. With the record selling of $170 million dollars worth in the first DAY! Destroying Halo 2's record.

And now Bungie is making Halo ODST after saying they will stop making ANYMORE. But that's just the thing 3 times they said NO MORE but now they got another. I think Bungie is addicted to the power and the money. Every day over 3/4 a million players get on Halo 3 they can't give up. Even McFarlane is into it, He's selling action figures and probably makes a load off of them.

Bungie is addicted they probably won't stop making halo cling offs or getting other people to in about 5 years. Which is really sad because Halo is what brought me to video games. And I really don't know any other video game like I do halo...

wow China Called They Want Their Wall Back! :D

This is an expansion, not necessarily a new game. It utilizes an existing engine, so it cannot be considered a completely new game.

Bungie said that Halo 3 was "the last in this story arc". that does not mean they will not make other Halo games with a different storyline. They are just saying no more games with the plot centered around the Halo rings and the Master Chief

But it needs a new disc thats like

COD4 and COD World at War

The same Engine but just different stuff

And Halo Wars is another game which means that Ensemble got permission from Bungie to do it. And Bungie already has its name on it HALO.

Its another maker, another style, same story even if it is set to when Harvest got raped by the Cove

was that in 2225?

I grew up with Doom 1, but yes Halo can't stop, it's too epic, hell, look at us, still modding halo 1, I just got lowering weapon feature into halo 1, and we still love it as much as we did a few years ago, Halo 4 ever.

Plus, bungie likes 7, i hope they will say 7 more times they won't make any more games and still make games, then I know i'm settled for the coming 10 years LOL

As long as they keep making the money they are from the Halo franchise, they will continue to suck it until it dries out. Then they will move to another type of game. But for now, Bungie will continue to create new Halo games and additions to those games.

Oh god, new flood forms. As if the original ones weren't already annoying enough. -_-

they wernt that annoying...though i didnt like fighting them on my own...i would rather have fightin them with allies like on floodgate. but that would happen in halo wars like when the covenant open the relic flood would come out and you would have to command the covie and fight the flood =D but in halo wars you cant fight the flood...unless you have someone to command them to fight....i would love to command covie against the flood...like if the marine in the snow leaves to go to alpha base the relic opens the BAM! flood come poring out and you would command covie and the arbiter that would be very nice.

EDIT: i wonder what the flood looks like in halo3 ODST...they're in the add
when the face guy says that stuff in the green screen and it says danger flood zone at one point.

They finished the story they wanted to with Marathon. If they felt they had more to do, it would have been marathon 4 rather than H1.

They said they were done with the Halo story arc, not the Halo universe. They worked too hard for that. They're showing us the battle of New Mombassa in a different perspective, and opening up the door for another story arc if they choose to.

good god that tidal wave of text made my eyes bleed. seriously dog, nobody really cares about the cortana letters. They are just stupid, I gave up trying to decipher Bungie's cryptic messages long, long ago... There is no magical sequence of numbers or letters that will tell you the secrets of Bungie, In fact I highly doubt there are any real secrets. Bungie just probably pulls this stuff out of their ass and says, "Hey! Lets send out emails as cortana and see how many retards will fall for it!" because they know people will fall for it, and guess what? People like you fall for it.

Bungie never said they were not making anymore until halo 3 came out. They made Halo Combat Evolved not intending for a sequel but left it open for one. When the game was released and made tons of money that's when Halo 2 was started. When the 2nd Halo ended people weren't mad because they thought there wasn't going to be a third, they were mad because it left a huge cliffhanger. When Halo 3 was advertised and it said "Finish the fight" which was obvious on what they intended. That was when they said there won't be a Halo 4 and they still are correct. They haven't made a Halo 4 only a Halo 3 expansion. They even said during the launch that there will be no Halo 4 but it doesn't mean they are finished with the Halo Universe. Which means they could still make another game involving the Master Chief and Cortana but it wouldn't be Halo since the Halo's are deactivated. If anything they would continue it from the Legendary ending of Halo 3.

Okay, I'm going to say this once and only once BUNGIE DOES NOT OWN THE RIGHTS TO HALO ANYMORE MICROSOFT DOES. Bungie only kept rights to Halo 3, which is why they can make a game like ODST. Bungie will not make another Halo game unless they buy back the rights from Microsoft, which is doubtful. The best you can hope for is some sort of crappy ass Halo game made by another studio....... my fear for Halo wars..... Anyway, will there be more Halo games, probably, but don't expect them to feel, look, or play the same way. I mean, just go look at the info released on the Halo MMO that was being developed that was just weird......

I honestly hope they don't make another Halo. Sure Halo is the only game I've ever been excited for but if they continue making spin offs (Which I doubt they will make another after ODST) it will feel as if they are milking it. I personally think they should remake Marathon into next gen. That game was basically Halo. No, Halo was basically that game.

Just because Bungie doesn't own Halo, doesn't stop them from making new games.

Its all advertising here folks. Anyone hear about "element of surprise"? They want you to think they aren't going to release anything else, its an Advertising trick they use everyday. They will announce that there are no more projects, but in the news on their site, they will give you hints, which will get you wondering and mosey [which they want, because it attracts people]. Then after a while, they will have some little articles to attract even more people.

Soon enough, there will be mass media and a lot of rumors going around, which gets more and more people getting into the project. After they see a decrease in the number of people not believing the project is true, they turn around and release wallpapers or screenshots that will give users an inside look at the project. The next step is to release a Beta/Demo of the game, which people will get as soon as it comes out, and it will attract more players. The next step is the release dates. Everyone gets hyped about when the next new game is coming out. Why do you think they change the dates? To update? No, they already have it finished, but that doesn't stop them from making you want it more then ever, which will get players determined to buy your product even more. Therefore, I think this is all Bull. This is NOT Bungie's last Halo, this is NOT Microsoft saying that they can't release another Halo. This is "Advertising".

I don't know where you copied and pasted that from, but Halo 2 is not an abomination.
