http://portforward.com/

Best site for port forwarding. Has most routers listed.

Are all your ports open?

Go to Run> type: "CMD"

Then go and type "ipconfig/all"

Then find the IP last 3 digits.

Go to your router "192.168.1.1" (that goes in your address bar*)

(Unless you changed it, it should be:
User name: admin
Password: admin
)

Then go to Application and Gaming>DMZ

Under the destination address, input the last 3 digits. Then try to host.
It works for me. :)

It says,
IPv4 Address.....................192.168.2.5<Preferred>

(Sentences in bold means I don't get it D:

DMZ is a nasty thing, I have that problem with every game, havn't got it solved for Unreal Tournament 3 yet, but Halo works, did you add it to the firewall exceptions to let it accept incoming connections? Some people didn't and that was the problem.

Also try adding the port (Default 2303) to the firewall exceptions, or try another port in halo, see if that works.

Well, I've added HCE and HCED to the Firewall's program/port list and they're both unblocked.

Also, what is DMZ?

That's a joke, not the official name

Here, this will explain all, it's not the safest thing to use, DMZ, but it works, that's all i need to know

Do you have a dynamic IP or a static one? if dynamic, then you don't need to know your curent one

when at portforward.com click on routers under the R.
Then find your router and after that select Halo in the games list and it will tell you how to forward your ports trhough your router.

THIS ONLY WORKS IF YOU HAVE A ROUTER.

You might need to allow these ports trhough your firewall too.
