Hallo,
Whenever I try to open my .scenario file in Sapien it just crashes. I don't know if there has been a modified Sapien released, but if so, I'm using the standard one. I would throw in a screenshot, but my computer freezes for like 2 seconds while it tries to open it. All I get is the Sapien window with nothing on it, it just sits there for 2-3 seconds before closing without any reason.

I'm using Yayap's tutorial (I know about grenades), and I have redone it twice now.

Find the debug.txt file found in your Halo Custom Edition folder (the one that your maps folder is in)
Then post the last few paragraphs here. Even if it's long.

Seriously, we should make a sticky, with the normal bug fixes on it.

honestly, how many times has this question been asked? it's in at least every 10th question.

You have faulty tags, open your scenario in guerilla and find the red tags, you'll know them when you see them. delete/fix them. sapien will then open and all will be well.

If you mean weapon tags, I'm using original H1 weapons.

i think i have the fix for that, basicly, go to geurila and open you .scinareo file you open in sapien, then, scroll down untill you see vehicles, deleete them all :) save and try again. if it works then add the vehicles that where in the .scinareo before, one by one, until it crashes, then re-rip the tags ( overwrite).

That wouldn't work because it's globals that is detecting the vehicles.

Just rerip any map.

file_open('tags\vehicles\vehicle.material_effects') error 0x00000002 'The system cannot find the file specified. '
error, and rip that specific tag using HEK+. Basically, open up Blood Gulch in HEK+, go to the folder vehicles, then find the file called vehicle.material_effects . Drag that to the extraction cue. Do the same with all errors.

Why would I rip/rerip Blood Gulch? The map I'm talking about I made like 3 days ago. And I didn't put any vehicles in yet, only 2 weapons (Would that be part of it?).

Why? You are missing these tags. Blood Gulch has these tags. If you want it to work, then you need these tags. So get them.

RIP THE VEHICLE.MATERIAL_EFFECTS TAG OFF BLOODGULCH OR ANY OTHER MAP ALL MAPS SHOULD USE THIS TAG ANYWAYS!!!!!!!

sry its just i even knew that even before i started to map in halo ce...
