Well, I cant remember if I already mad ea topic for this, so if I did, my bad on the spam. Anyway, for getting rid of Destroyable Limbs I re-named the permutations in guerilla and the arms do not seem to fall off,, but however, they still seem to be destroyed. I figured this out when I was playing a mod I'm doing, where you play as a Flood, on the screen my gun dropped, (Sign of arm being destroyed) but when I died, both of my arms were still there. Well my question is, how do I make it so the gun does not drop as a sign of destroyed limbs.

Destroyable limbs (on Covenant and UNSC) would be win for a Gears of War mod.

I don't think you can stop that - I mean your arm falls off where does the gun go? If you delete the ~damaged permutation it might stop the guns from falling off.

I dont think it would make a difference due to the fact that having it labelled as 'NOT USED' means that the perm aint used, hence even if I did delete it, it would only do the same thing.

Well yea it's a flood thing, flood means half rotten and converted, it's natural, you can't change nature

lol but seriously, if your weapons drops, can't you pick it up again? or pick up any gun? cus if the arms are still attached... can you throw nades after the gun drops?

EDIT: without gun you can't throw, duh... but anyways
how about making a new model as a whole?
/lack of scripts is speaking now, maybe you can make a script of re-attach or so blabla he ll i don't know

@Destroyer: I stated it was the flood in the first post.

@BeachParty: Scripts of re-attach would work. I'm looking for a Guerilla solution, because I dont think a script would suffice. The way i did it was remove the models ability to lose arms, however, it does, technically, it just looks like it hasn't. If you get my meaning.

Yes i love to use guerilla instead too, Kornman00 actually, i'll look into that too, when i don't have the habit of making flood my pets anymore by shooting their arms off =3
what's your motivation for doing it? i might look at it straight away

Arg I was to lazy to put in paragraphs, but next time, I'll be considerate and post in paragraphs.

As for my motivation, well I just thought a Flood campaign would be cool. Like being part of the 'infection'. The Destroyable Limbs I need for a Flood SP and MP biped tags I'm gonna be using. Flood MP tags will hopefully be released.

Well, I did the whole 'Scripts might not work thing' because it was 11 at night, and nothing occured to me. But, however, something has now. The object_attach command, but can you attach objects to players? Or maybe there is a way in Kornman00v2 (The version of Guerilla I'm using) to make it so the gun does not drop, as I'm sure this isn't implemented when you are creating the model.

Note: 3 paragraphs, happy now?

And I would really appreciate help with this destroyable limbs thing. And expect other music besides stock is all I'm saying.

Again, I really need help with this, its not a necessity, but its damn annoying when you get your arm blown off while your shield is down.

As you might know, i'm an object attach addict, made hover tanks and dual wielding swords and stuff, but you can't use them, it's just fancy decoration, if you attach a tree to your head then you're like a camo tank from red alert 2, but you won't grow any leaves, the attached objects don't work =P

Interesting though, considering that all sides possible of the campaign are being made now, I'd like to hear more about it soon
Oh and, don't try carriers and infection forms, I just blow up when i fall too hard or get it lol, marine and covie forms are good enough ^^

the only thing missing is the monitor's side, but a sentinal doesn't do much eh? =P

I'm not posting a pic now that is related to it, since some people *coughdestroyercough* have problems with it >.> (It's a habit)

I didn't know you were an object_attach addict. And, so you would look like a walking tree stump lol.

I'm the only one making the Flood campaign lol. And I'm helping with the Covenant Campaign also.

Sentinel campaign, I'll think about it. But, what matters now is the Flood campaign.

The pics are regarded as spam by some, as for me, it does not bother.

I'm in need of some who can animate at the moment, so if anyone is willing to help with this endevour add me on xfire: warlordkillsall, or send me a pm.

E1: I made my first .sound file. The song 'Reclaimer' from H2. But, a slight problem, it seems the .wav file is over 10mbs. And tool will not compile the file. (Wasn't meant to rhyme.) I was wondering if theres anyway around this?
