If the glass on a ship meant for space (Needs to be a few feet thick for that window size I think), no human is surviving.

Err... what he said is that ISN'T space glass, which means that it couldn't do "space things in space"

The 'glass' on a space ship would probably made out of an amazingly thick plastic... so I doubt it would be smashed.
But this looks interesting as a scenery piece, like to see it in some maps.

STORY:

the year was 2551,
the flight crew of the Undoubted "thats the long sword" set out for a highly secret mission.
the mission was so top secert that the crew was not breifed until they were abourd the ship.
the encripted codes contained a full blue print of high charity.
however, midway to the objective, one of the Undoubted's engines malfunctiond.
this caused a chain reaction in the engine pod, witch blew out the bottem of the the long sword. immedaty one of the crew members was sucked out of the ship, while cabin pressure dropped sharply.
the long sword banked heavily, and spiraled out into a death-spin.
luckely, the undoubted spalshed down in a river. the copilot died on impact, due to his control panel exploding.
the remaining 3 crew members safely made it off the ship, but the technition drowned in the river.

the pilot and the mechanic were never seen again, and blue prints were lost forever in the heavely encripted computer system

First of all, longswords are FIGHTERS. They are not designed for long flights, which is why they cannot travel far from a standard starship (E.G the Pillar of Autumn). Also, if it were so top secret, the UNSC would not brief them while on the starship, because radio waves can be intercepted. If the pressure was considerably high, it would have to be in space, or in an high atmosphere, and the other crew members would be killed before it even hit the ground. If it hit from such an high altitude, not much of the Longsword fighter would be left in one piece, and I doubt the computer system would survive. You need to revise your story.

no, your wrong several times, LONGswords are LONG range bombers,
the ship was just intering atmo, with 10 more fuel cannisters in its cargo bay, the pilot, by aimming the ship for the river saved the lifes of all on the ship, except for the one who got sucked out and the co-pilot who died on impact

THE unsc did brief them ,ON THE SHIP!, so they were told by the co, ON THERE SHIP
WHILE THE DOCUMENTS WERE ALLREADY UPLOADED

The C709 Longsword-Class Interceptor is the main UNSC single ship.

An "interceptor" is designed for dogfighting, not for bombing roles. And you said that the atmosphere was dropping. That means the crew would be dead before impact. And Longsword class interceptors fuel from the OUTSIDE, so having fuel on the inside would not help. Longswords don't have any Slipspace drives, and ONI would not be stupid enough to send just one Longsword. Personally, the idea is good, but there are some holes that you should fill up.

And its a single ship. Who made the Longswords able to hold a large crew? To fix the briefing problem, you could say that the orders were recorded before the mission, and were put onto a video disc, which was uploaded into the Longsword's computer.

Its a single ship. That means a crew of 1. There shouldn't be that many people in a "single ship" interceptor.

Also, why would they entrust the plans on a single Longsword interceptor? And you don't understand what a slipspace engine is.
Quote: --- Original message by: Bungie
The SFTE (Shaw-Fujikawa Translight Engine) generates a resonance field, which when coupled with the unusual physics of the Slipstream, allows for dramatically shorter transit times between stars; however, scientists note an odd "flexibility" to temporal flow while inside the Slipstream. Though no Human scientist is sure why travel time between stars is not constant, many theorize that there are "eddies" or "currents" within the Slipstream — there is generally a five to ten percent variance in travel times between stars. This temporal inconsistency has given military tacticians and strategists fits, hampering an uncounted number of coordinated attacks. Shaw-Fujikawa engines allow ships to leave normal space and plow through Slipspace. Slipspace drives use particle accelerators to rip apart normal space-time by generating micro black holes. These holes are evaporated via Hawking radiation in a nanosecond. The real quantum mechanical "magic" of the drive lies in how it manipulates these holes in space-time, squeezing vessels weighing thousands of tons into Slipspace.[3]

It would destroy the Longsword interceptor on activation. Think of it: a particle accelerator on a single ship? How long would the "5 man crew" on a "single ship" last? And if the co-pilots radio exploded, the shrapnel would most likely kill the pilot as well, provided they weren't already dead due to decompression in the planet's / ring's atmosphere. Just a few revisions left to go!

dude, stop being so technical, ITS MODIFIED!
the door behind the cabin has 2 bunk beds with 1 pull out trundel.
it has food and accomdation for 6 peaple, for a 6th month travel transit.
the long sword, witch is no longer an intersepter was oni's safeist way to transit codes, as the ship was set to se;f descruct opon the pilots say so, or thoughts, thanks to nueral chips,
but the pilot has to say yes, if the sequnise activates

o, AND THATSWHY IT SAY WORK IN FRICAN PROGRESS!

A mission as such would normally be conducted by a Prowler - class vessel. And if they modified the Longsword, to remove the ammo compartments, and threw in 2 bunk beds with a pull out trundel, where would they put 6 months worth of food? Or is it freeze dried? :S If you could work out those holes, it would be a good story. I'm assuming that a pickup vessel isn't far away from their objective? But yea, I like the bunk beds idea, because it can hold up to 3. That would mean that only the pilot survives though. And a Longsword interceptor has no artificial gravity without power, and how are you going to provide power for 6 months? It probably could cover about 1/4 of a light year in such time, due to it not being able to carry Slipspace engines. So yea, fix those bugs in the story, and it'll be perfect :)

y u being so technica,
what do want me to describe the engines and power systems down to the last bolt and rivet? Yes!

my god....

YES the food is freeze dried
The longsword is MODIFIED

M.O.D.F.I.E.D Now you're just trying to be funny

m is for milk
O is for over
D is for dumpling
F is for fly
I is for inside
E is for enter
D is for david

MODIFIED

1. to change somewhat the form or qualities of; alter partially; amend: to modify a contract.
2. Grammar . (of a word, phrase, or clause) to stand in a syntactically subordinate relation to (another word, phrase, or clause), usually with descriptive, limiting, or particularizing meaning; be a modifier. In a good man, good modifies man.
3. to be the modifier or attribute of.
4. to change (a vowel) by umlaut.
5. to reduce or lessen in degree or extent; moderate; soften: to modify one's demands.

So what if it's modified? There's no possible way it could travel so far in 6 months. Unless you would like me to write you a correct and technically possible story...

What are you even talking about? You don't mod something in 3DS Max. All he did was reskin a longsword, and in sapien, he rotated it sideways, and if it was real, how come no pics? :|

Please get your fast straight before proving someone wrong.

Actually, stats and stuff are two separate things. According to the Merriam Webster Dictionary:

Stat(istic):
1: a single term or datum in a collection of statistics
2 a: a quantity (as the mean of a sample) that is computed from a sample ; specifically : estimate
b: a random variable that takes on the possible values of a statistic

Stuff
1: materials, supplies, or equipment used in various activities: as aobsolete : military baggage b: personal property
2: material to be manufactured, wrought, or used in construction

Lets try to keep this civil, shall we?
