I know what your thinking, but I have enabled my console.
I have been using a UI that allows single player maps.

Here are my problems:

With I hit the ~ key, nothing happens.

With the UI, I click on campagin, and I'm unable to see any of the maps I downloaded.

(Yes, the maps are in the halo custom edition map folder :P)

Thank you for your time.

The modified UI only allows for the original campaign. Not custom downloaded maps. For those, use the regular load.

Thanks for your help on the UI, but what do you mean by orignal load? I've heard that if you load in the lan it crashes.

Through console. Most SP maps have instructions on how to load it, but if you don't know, here's how:

1) Enable console. I believe you know how.
2) Type in

map_name [name of map]

To find out the name of the map, open up your maps folder, and find the map. Then read the name. For example, if I were to load the pillar of autumn, I would type a10 as the map name, because that's the name of the map.

Hope that helped :)

When I open up Halo Ce, I do the ~ key while hitting enter on the muliplayer selection.
I then type map_name death_intrusion to no result.
Any reason why?

@dennis: I have looked there before but the instructions aren't clear enough for me. Sorry for being such a noob. :(

EDIT: I have foolishly tried to load the map by the lan, and got exception. It seems like I can't use the console anymore(I do ~ and hit enter, yet nothing happens apart from it going to the multipler section.

Let's go over it again.
Hit the ` button. Wait for the halo( thing to appear on the bottom of the screen. Then type in map_name death_intrusion, and then hit enter.

To enable console, add a -console after the target in the properties of the icon. Basically, right click the icon, click properties, and under target, at the end, after the "", add a -console

Make sure that that is the actual map name. If you need help remembering it, go to the multiplayer map listing and copy the text there into the console when you type it.

It worked! Thank you so much!

As a added note, is there anyway to go back to full screen after loading the map? If there isn't, that's okay.

Thanks again!

Remove the -window that you added before you launch halo. Like I said, its not necessary.

so, this is sort of related, but if i wanted to make halo ce open maximized on a secondary monitor, how would i do that? would i have to make it windowed and drag it onto the other monitor?
i have this sweet pc -> tv adapter that allows me to play all my roms on my tv, and i wanted to put halo ce on my tv too.
