Hey there everyone! Jay2645 here from the SWMT (Star Wars Mapping Team). For those of you who are unfamiliar with the team, our goal is to bring accurate representations of Star Wars locales, weapons, vehicles, and bipeds from both the movies and Expanded Universe into Halo CE.
However, for quite some time now I have been alone on the project, and progress has been... Slow, at best. I have gotten ingame new sounds, weaponry, a map and a vehicle, but considering how much time has been put into it, there only a small amount of work done.
So I've decided its time for a recruitment drive.
Here's what I have done on my own:
A280 Blaster Rifle (Rebellion Blaster Rifle):

E-11 Blaster Rifle (Stormtrooper Blaster Rifle):

Lightsaber:

AT-AT (All Terrain Armored Transport):

Older Shot demonstrating bay doors:

X-Wing:

Snowspeeder:

Stormtrooper:

Hoth (Slightly Outdated):

Tantive IV:

Outdated Ingame Shot:

Bulletin Board:

SWMT Sidewinder (TESTING PURPOSES ONLY):

SWMT UI:

This is what I've managed to accomplish on my own, but I have hit some snags, mainly:
Bitmap creation
First person models
Biped Rigging

If you have ANY knowledge or experience in those fields, or any field at all (I could use a helping hand here and there), please let me know in this topic! I could use all the help I can get!

They 'could' enter the AT-AT from landing pads like this:
http://media.moddb.com/images/mods/1/7/6512/45790.jpg
They enter through the tunnels, the AT-AT is around the right size. I'm also sure many Imperial bases where they construct the AT-AT's come equipped with stations like this, I'm also quite sure that Imperial Star Destroyers also have railings like this in in the Vehicle Loading Bay. Or so I assume.

By re-making them through mapping.

And like in SW Battle Squadron 2.

I always wondered when a team like this would come around.

The hatch doors open and allow Stormtroopers inside. There is:
1 driver seat
1 Co-pilot seat
16 passenger seats (8 per side)

I have a script which SHOULD make Stormies spawn inside the AT-AT. Never really tested it out much.

Multiplayer bipeds. Essentially it makes the AT-AT into a mobile spawn point for the Imperials.

but there is only one way for the players biped to be different on each side and that if its random biped selection... i thought

if they spawn in a volume trigger, you can tell the person within the volume trigger to change to a certain permutation.. if he wants to spawn them within the vehicle, he would just spawn them in a special room where it changes their permutation, then warps them to any avalible seat within te vehicle.

Exactly. I had a slightly different version where I spawned them in a special room, changed their permutation, and then warped them to a spawn point for the regular spawns as well, but, now that I think about it, that's probably a little more work than necessary.
But other than that, Kirby is exactly right on how it would work. If the driver seat is available, then the first one to spawn in that room will get a new permutation and would warp to the driver seat, and once the driver's seat is filled, the other players who spawn in the room would warp to the passenger seats, in addition to the normal spawn points scattered throughout the map. There will be 32 spawn points in the Hoth room, for example, since there are 2 AT-ATs, in addition to the 68 normal spawn points.

Think of a better map design other than hallways that are roughly 2 mc's wide. That doeen't allow the player much room to interact with making it overal pretty boring. You should design the map so the player has clues that this is the armory other than having it print it when entering a trigger volume.

Actually... I added the text in after the video, that isn't actually ingame. I will make it more obvious where the armory and such is, as I still have much to do around that general area. In my 3DS Max model right now I have a finished armory, and it is much more evident that it is, indeed, an armory, with weapon holders on the wall and dual grenade caches.

As for the hallway width, they are approximately that wide in the movie (I designed and scaled the Max file according to actual movie blueprints, as I do with almost every level, weapon, or vehicle I can), so I'm trying to stay true to the movies. The "Stormtroopers" I placed marching down those hallways lead to some interesting close-quarters gameplay.

It's ok. I'm going to borrow SWBF2 from my friend but I might look into Republic Commando but Hoth is my main priority at the moment.

I've been following this project for a while now, and I have to say I'm pretty excited to see that it is still being worked on. I think everything you have done so far looks great and I hope that you can get everything done. Also, the SWBF games are awesome, and I would personally love to see some of those maps ported over to HCE. Good luck with the Mod guys.

I made a website for the team. At the website you can see public releases of screenshots or renders and even videos. There is also Jay's forum which I added also.

Yeah, I could use some help in that area. I'll get in touch with you over Xfire ASAP.

Also here's a board I'm adding to the bunks mainly for my own amusement (Because I know what the Aurebesh says =P):
