Also, maybe that video uses vray, but you can use either Mental Ray (like i did) or Default, its all in the render-to-texture. Edited by kenney001 on Dec 22, 2008 at 12:42 PM Eww, Ripped Halo 2 Map

Hmmm maybe the only reason the new high qualioty lightmapping looks horrible in that map is because... 1. maybe you don't have the best graphics card (seriously no offense). 2. maybe it's because of shaders idk tho i am about to try the tutorial thank you DEEHunter :D !

EDIT: is this a video lol it's 267 megabytes lol that would be funny if it was all text lol.? Edited by pakar45 on Dec 22, 2008 at 12:48 PM

It just uses pure white for its lightmaps. My method simulates a physical sun. Besides. I made mines look beter :P. BUT you will need to set up the material to be glass. http://www.cg-files.com/vrayglassmaterialtutorial.htmlEdited by DEEhunter on Dec 22, 2008 at 01:18 PM

You would need to set up the lights in 3ds max. Using lights like omni and spot lights will work.
