its been fun yall, i'll never forget this site :')

hey when i make a box map in gmax and i flip the faces i get this:

but when i do that in max 9 i get this:

It is becuase it is set to doubel sided faces I beleive. Though I do not know how to change it. I don't use 3ds max so I am not sure.

yeah i tried deleting the faces but it deletes both sides :/ will a max user please help me?

check "back face cull" or something like that. it will make it one sided.

look up, in the line with the undo and redo, and theres the shortcut keys toggle. right click it after you make sure its toggled on. then, search for it on the huge list, when you find it, click on it and set a shortcut key for it. close window, click on the box, press the shortcut key.

By the way mine does that too. Just ignore it, and hide the top bit, it still works perfectly

Or, with the box selected, right click, and select Object Properties. You'll see a checkbox for Backface Cull in the dialog box that pops up
The huge list he's talking about is found in the menu Customize-> Customize User Interface
