Whenever I play some mombasa or zanzibar updated, why don't I have the ability to go in dev cam? Was there some problem while making the maps?

There's a continuous script running "camera_control 0" in those maps. They did this probably to prevent cheating, but I bet it was more so that players couldn't interfere with the device syncing bipeds, at least in Zanzibar.
However, running that command constantly has some bad side effects. You notice that when you get into vehicles, the camera snaps right to the third person view instead of smoothly transitioning to it? That's the script. Have you noticed every time you respawn the camera hovers just behind your head for a split second? That's the script. |
