Hi, I am using Yayap's Map Creation Tutorial(Yes, I know about the grenades), and I have run across a few problems while using it:
The maps always look like they were made out of Legos from the Paint displacement. There is the occasional hole in the map. Textures don't come out in Sapien when I open it there. The first time using the command line, the tutorial said I was supposed to get an error. I did not get the error. The tutorial does not mention anything about setting a 1-9(I forget what it said specifically) in the cmd.exe when I type in"tool structure levels\mapname mapname"
Does anybody know how to fix these without getting multiple errors, or do I have to find a different tutorial? I have Gmax 1.2, and Chimp 1.6. Edited by Vlad on Nov 9, 2008 at 12:20 AM

Need to use soft selection and change fallout to 1000 -2000 -5000. Play with it. For the holes, the Weld option also works, right? I kinda used Weld already... When do I use Soft Selection? before or after the displacement? Edited by Vlad on Nov 10, 2008 at 02:55 PM
