Ok i made a halo map and went through the entire tutorial. I had spawn points created, multiplayer selected, scenery done, everything done. I don't know what gives because when i compiled it and tried to play it but when it loaded it minimized halo and gave me the "Gathering Exception Data" warning. Anyone know how i can fix this?

Gathering Exception Data means the game engine has crashed. as to why... you probably left out some important net-game flags. make sure you have the ctf, king, odd-ball and whatever else is there set up properly.

if you playing a map you downloaded and it gives you that error, that can meen one of two things:

1. if it's a multiplayer map, then you can't play the game you tried to play, like ctf for example. the creator could have forgot to place the flag possitions so it won't work for ctf, try another type.

2. It's a Single Player map. you can't run a sp map on the internet, you have to run halo in dev mode and type in to the console, witch comes up when you press the ~ key, without the brackets "map_name b30" were as b30 is the map you want to load.

Ok. I am still having trouble with the exception data. I checked to make sure that the gametypes on everything was all games and i have starting locations marked "0" and "1". I have set to multiplayer and all weapons and vehicles are set to all gametypes. not sure why it isn't working because i can see everything in sapien and textures and everything appear OK. I may post my scenario data soon so maybe if anyone gets the chance, check that out and see what's wrong.
