I hope it won't all be just stealth and hiding, a few parts where you can pown some brutes would be nice :D
I still like the stealth idea. Edited by Officer egg on Oct 26, 2008 at 06:08 PM

Quote: --- Original message by: Donut if it ends up playing like brute force, where you can either send your squad in, or give them strategic positions, or just go in and mop up on your own, then i will be right at home. GRAW uses the D-pad to point out targets. You can have them fall back, move to position, defenssive or offensive with bumper left. Also, if you have a sniper, a demolition guy or such you can aim at a target and designate it for either grenade strike, all out assault or snipe. You can also control, through the dpad, support units such as Choppers and LAVs. I think you also get to control Abrams tanks too... and the plot for GRAW is great. GRAW2 is however merely an expansion with only minor upgrades and many more annoyingness with a far sub optimal plotline. Bottomline, GRAW's Good and if the ''Genius'' behind it is the lead mission designer for Halo 3:Recon, then we're in buisness and this game is definatly getting my pay check.

during an interview with the Kotaku guys, among reassuring other elements, they specifically said that this wasnt going to be another GRAW and does not even truly follow squads as GRAW did, chill out guys xD
Have a little bit of faith, because if no one doesn't...

How good was Brute Force? And Graw2 was the one I played and said was awful, but GoW is really the only 3rd person shooter I can play without getting a headache. I'm ultimately glad Halo3: Recon is FP though. Edited by DarkHalo003 on Oct 27, 2008 at 07:32 PM

brute force was decent. i prefer sniper weapons, so its a little difficult to snipe until you get flint as a squad member. for the time the game came out in, the environments were pretty cool. they still are. i think they give interplanetary and interspecie encounters a new outlook. the areas of combat range from somewhat close quarters combat, to big open ship yards in deep forests where the main enemy opposition is guys with rocket launchers up high on the wings of the ships and trees. it came with my original xbox, and yu can pick up a copy for like.. 5 bucks i think. it even has content download, but unfortunately it has no xbox live gameplay capabilities.

Lighter wait + Caseless + Suppressor = COOLER.
I think Bungie just mirrored the model since the sides are symmetrical. I hope they didn't do that because of laziness. :P

the only similarity i can see is how the bullets load in from a 90 degree angle. in the p90, the bullets face to the right or the left, not sure which, but that how it can hold so many rounds. ever wonder why the smg has so many rounds? thats why.

I wonder why nations haven't used the SMG's design. It seems light and reloads well. It's just a game anyways I suppose.

copyright probably, that and im not sure how well it would work. caseless ammo has some real world issues that you dont have to worry about in a game, such as the fact that the propellant of the caseless ammo is a solid mass on the back of the bullet. the concept works, but how well the gun actually performs is questionable. if somebody could find a p90 schematic to explain how rounds are loaded into a firing position from a 90 degree angle, then maybe we can draw some conclusions

Gotta love Google: That's a P90 case. It uses a rotary feed on the right that's powered by the bolt to turn the bullets 90 degrees. Found the info and image on this page: http://world.guns.ru/smg/smg13-e.htm

ah ha. so the bullets actually feed into the gun further back toward the stock. that must help recoil a bit i guess edit: civilian semi auto version? do want. also, 30 round capacity on the civilian. doesn't a p90 hold more ammo than 30 rounds? i could have sworn it was something like 50 or 60 rounds... still, i wouldnt have to worry about that rodent problem anymore Edited by Donut on Oct 29, 2008 at 06:58 PM

Gears of War 2 Ftw FarCry 2 Ftw Guitar Hero 5: World Tour Ftw
Overall, FTW Edited by Advancebo on Oct 24, 2008 at 06:53 PM A.) Off-topic, much? B.) ... Guitar Hero 5? You're getting ahead of yourself. World Tour is the FOURTH game in the series (as neither On Tour, Aerosmith, or any of those were considered canon games [if GH even has such a thing as "canon"] but classified as spin-offs), and is not named "Guitar Hero 4", it's just "Guitar Hero: World Tour". C.) Fallout 3 ftw. :3 On-topic. Yeah, definitely an SMG, but not the same as the picture on Wikia. It's probably a more updated version (graphically) with a bit more than just a silencer... And probably more to it than just the laser-sight. But I couldn't imagine what else is added. Also on-topic, about the whole GRAW thing, as quoted from the SAME site previously mentioned (Wikia): "Speculation about a supposed third-person-shooter, giving the player control of Marines or ODST's instead of Spartans circulated long before Bungie revealed their next project would be Halo-related. Originally, rumours held that this would by the Peter Jackson game, Halo: Chronicles. The presence of Christian Allen, a former Marine and Red Storm employee who worked on the Ghost Recon and Rainbow Six series, joined Bungie in early 2007, heightened speculation. In actual fact, Bungie has confirmed that it will be a first-person-shooter, like the previous three Halo titles, and that Christian Allen is actually working on a completely different project within Bungie. Bungie also confirmed that the player will take the role of a surviving ODST, that it is set in the ruins of New Mombassa, it will be released in the US "Fall" of 2009, and it is the last Halo project that they are working on." But then again, they also said "it is the last Halo project that they are working on" despite the fact that they're going to be helping produce Halo Chronicles... "duel layered" wouldnt make a difference, because it holds 30 rounds.
