when scenery dips a bit under the BSP, does that help contribute to lag?

Dang it.

I have about 50 trees in extinction2 that are stuck under the BSP at the base.

you can select (and delete) them and in the scenery hierarchy list, they should be labeled with a red circle if they're outside the bsp.

None of them have the red circle. They just sorta stick under it.

oh ok I see what you mean. Bungie made the trees like that on purpose so you can either:
A) Place the trees at varied heights
B) Place trees on steep slopes without having the underside showing.

So it won't make lag?

The trees ARE supposed to be like that, so it won't cause any more lag that if the trees were fully above ground.

Some scenery, like trees and rocks, are designed to go under the level a bit even when their marker is right on the ground. This shouldn't cause lag as far as I know. Haveing the marker under the level (the only way this could happen is if you place it then alter the z acces or if you switch the bsp with one where the terrain is made higher.
